Need help on Kazaa...

I started a big download,

Halfway thru I installed Kazaalite, but it was an earlier version, which had to remove my current version of Kazaa.

The problem is how do I get the .dat file (the one half way completed) to start downloading again in the current version of Kazaa? It doesn't show up in the Traffic.

This file is averaging 6 kb/sec

okay, it's 534MB large, I had nearly 200MB completed. That's why I do not want to restart, Nature Jerk (as Paulos says)

C:\Program files\kazaa-lite\downloads\

To

C:\Program Files\Kazaa\dowloads\

Mine will, at times, not display all fragments at once in traffic.

Then, out of nowhere, the ones I thought were lost, except for being everpresent in the shared folder, will appear when I randomly open the program.

I just accepted it as a quirk.

Ok, that sounds like it might work, but surely it can't be that simple. I'll try here in a second...

Have you tried doing a hammer strike on the top of the tower, and then going, "EHHHHHHHHHHH!"?

I kinda feel stupid now. I just assumed the Kazaa & Klite used the same folder(s).

I've got the download accelerator installed and I'm at 1000 participation level. I still don't really notice any difference in the download rate however.

Most of time if you switch to kazaalite from kazaa or even upload downloads in progress won't complete. I've been there before. So never upgrade if you are in the middle of a download you want to complete.

Okay, one last question then I promise I'll stop asking...

Let's say there's 4 users that I am currently downloading from for the same file. Is there a way I can specify a certain user to download from, for example if his/her download time is extremely fast?

(Most of the time Kazaa keeps the fastest speed, but not always.)

Dammit! I had a user on there that I was getting 40 kb/sec. Now he's gone and I'm back to getting 5 kb/sec, but at least I'm still a "supreme being"

No, actually it's a game - Age of Mythology. The bad part is it's two cd's, each well over 500 MB. Yes, I'm too lazy to just go out and buy it. Stealing is much more fun.

just in case somebody doesnt know, there is a completely new version of kazaa lite out now that keeps your user level at 1000 and has speed up, sig, dat, etc included.
