!!!Need Help!!! Losing internet connection...

Everytime I go to kazaalite to download something - AND IT ONLY HAPPENS ON KAZAALITE - within of 30 seconds of logging on - AND IT HAPPENS EVERY SINGLE TIME- I lose my internet connection.

Not just lose it... but when I click CONNECT to log back on, it doesn't work.

I have to restart my machine all together (power off, power on again..) in order to get a new internet connection.

what is up with this?

Also I keep getting this pop up each time that says

ReInstall n-Case.... Please click to REINSTALL, skip INSTALLATION, or REMIND ME LATER.

Of course the only thing that works is REINSTALL which leads me to believe it is some kind of spyware.

It only started doing this the other week.

wizkid, p0ink, where ya'll at?

my computer is fucked and I always lose my connection. Like you I can't just relog in I haveto shut the machine down and restart it for the connection to re-establish itself.

I blame my problems with my computer all on KAZAA!

No shit... it just started this.. .and it only happens when I log onto kazaalite.

AAP,
I used to have this problem when using the USB DSL modem for my bellsouth service..

The modem would need to be reset before using it again and required a reboot.

Ive switched to the dsl router so I can hook up multiple pc's to the internet connection and havent had a problem since.

As far as the spyware crap, download a program called spybot- search and destroy. you'd be surprised how many spyware are already on your pc.

just renew your ip manually, i'm sure that's all it's doing when you restart... run/cmd->ipconfig /renew
that's assuming you have winxp...that's only going to help you with the restarts though.

It makes you insignificant. Not worth bothering. And lucky.

Yo... that didn't work at all.

my experience with kazaa is that you have to dump it then reinstall every month or so.

i am willing to bet that most of your computer problems will disappear if you do that.

I think this happens because nomater what you do allot of junk programs build up on kazaa after a while.

actually, I just uninstalled it and then downloaded the newer version today and it still happens.

i have not used kazaa for a while, i think i still have the file for an old version of it on my computer. i remember that i did not have any problems with that but it started to fuck up once i got the update. Maybe if i reinstall that and don't update it, it will work. If you have or can find an older version it might be worth a try.

app, where did you download your kazaa lite from? www.kazaalite.tk ??? that's where i DLed it from, and nothing's wrong so far...

press CTRL+ALT+DELETE and open the task manager... close programs that you don't think belong there, and see if that solves the problem... when you do this, make sure kazaa lite is not running.

That is the same website I used.

I will only have kazaalite running, nothing else... and it boots my internet connection and I have reboot. I wish I knew a way to renew my internet connection without having to reboot.

Start, Control Panel, Network Connections...

Are you using your ISP provider's software to connect???? If so, dump that and use XP's connection software in Network Connections....

Ummm... I made my network connection using XP's utility.

It only disconnects when I am logged onto kazaa.... nothing else.
