Even though I live in Canada

It makes me grit my teeth to hear about MMA competitions getting shut down. Aren't people in this day and age educated yet about what MMA is all about? Christ.

And yet I bet these same people endorse boxing and kickboxing events.

I wouldn't doubt it. Its probably the sponsors who endorse boxing who are afraid of losing their fan base to MMA.

Your both probably right. I feel real bad for these guys. Some of them fight for COH here in Missouri where its legal when they get a chance. But they should also have the right to fight at home. Look at the facts of this sport. In boxing, you can get a standing 8 numerous times before the fight is over. Think about the damage that can cause. Amature MMA is most of the time stopped by the ref because the fighter couldnt defend theirself, or by someone submitting. No serious harm is dont at this point.

thanks, im from missouri, but i think these guys need the chance to compete in their own state too insted of always having to travel out of state to fight.
