need device to record concert?

anybody knowledgeable bout a device that would be useful for recording live concerts....

ive been to some great dj sets lately and would love to have em for easy listening in the future

sony minidisc. as much as I hate sony minidisc, this is the most successful item for the average concert-goer. portable easy to use, and very high quality since it is all digital.

If you want professional quality, buy a portable professional DAT recorder (e.g., Sony TCDD8, Tascam DA-P1, etc.) and a high quality condenser mic (AKG, Sennheiser, etc.).

You would have to go to a pro audio shop to purchase the aforementioned items. They're not cheap, either.
