Hi. I just got some N-Large from dpsnutrition delivered today. I dont know how much i should take and when though. Im 164 lbs and I work out 3-4 times a week. I been workin out about 3 months now and I see little gains. My diet hasnt been so good so I've cleaned it up a bit. Im guessing I'll take about 150-200 grams of protein split up throughout the day and b4 I sleep and just eat alot of turkey and chicken. Whats the best way to take protein for gaining mass.

O.k first off you need to eat more protien then that dude, then I would throw down a Nlarge shake in the A.M with some Peanutbutter and then have some breakfast and have an Nlarge for post-workout. Before you got to bed have some cottage cheese and some eggs or a shake with some peanutbutter. Good luck, and eat everything in sight bro

please read the stickies at the top of the forum and read some of Mr.X's bulking articles. By all means, don't eat everything in sight tho, unless you plan on dieting off a lot of excess fat later on.

well i also eat eggs in the morning sometimes and about three lean meat sandwiches per day. im thinkin of tossin in some cereal with milk for fiber so i dont crap all the protein out. oh and can i replace the cottage cheez with icecream at night? is there a lean peanut butter?

Natural peanut butter - I would think that cottage cheese or a shake before bed is much better than ice cream - are you trying to eat to get fat or gain lean muscle - looks like you need to read up on what to eat throughout the day and night--6 small meals a day, so much protein, carbs and fat throughout the day - just search around on this website - you can learn alot - its very informative-- I did.;)

isnt the cottage cheez supposed to slow down the digestion of protein or something. i read that icecream can do the same thing. i dont really eat cheez and dont think ive ever had cottage cheez in my life. and what is natural peanut butter? i guess ill do a search. thanx.

Fat and fibre both slow the absorption of protein and carbs. This can be beneficial in the morning, and before bed. Post-workout, I think it's better to get your protein down fast.... so have your post-workout shake without any fat or fibre.

Here's what I would do:
First thing in the morning, a protein shake straight down.
Maybe another one mid-day some time. (some fat or fibre added to this one)
Immediately after workout.
Before bed (some fat or fibre added to this one as well.

If that's too much, you can skip the mid-day one.... but I think the rest are important. Beyond that, just have several healthy meals consisting of lean meat/poultry sources, eggs, tuna/other fish, low GI carbs and heaps of veges. And water, and more water.

Train with some intensity, and you'll do fine. Good luck.
