looking for a good belt i can get on dicks or online for a decent price........ only oging ot be used in normal training, no powerlifting or anything.... thanks!

and you think a belt will prevent that? or make you more prone to injury later as you get stronger and your core doesnt keep up?

best bet, skip the belt, work your core and allow your body to adapt at the same rate.

There's a guy who frequents the same gym as me. I like to tease him about wearing a belt for squats...I call it his bra!

eaxctly my thoughts. I have a messed up back from when I was a teenager, yet with no belt I can deadlift 500 for 10 reps, squat 450 for 5's, etc. Training without one allowed my core strength to catch up
Another thing most guys dont realize is that the belt builds up a huge amount of pressure in the abdominal wall, which will look for any weak area to get out. So if you have any muscles in the ab wall that are not as strong as the ones around it, BANG you have a hernia. And thats from a surgeon I went to see when I thought I had a hernia
