N00b question... "send a private message"

When you "send a private message" on someone's profile page, is that "secure"? If not, what's the best way to get a mod's secure email addy if they don't post it in thier signature?

Sorry for such a n00b question guys...

I've always done prescribed HRT that was 100% legal. Why would I need to worry about secure emails until now?

You know in the time you spent with that response you could have just answered the question.

Whether you are in need or not is pointless. Surely you have read the other ONE MILLION threads that have asked this same question. ;)

Actually I chased the stickies pretty hard. It was just a little unclear to me of the PM's here were used to GET the true secure email address. My guess was the sequence was:

1) PM the mod requesting their secure email addy
2) Send a secure email to them via your own secure email account that identifies yourself on the EF boards
3) Go from there with a source check

It just seemed like instead of me "guessing" if that was correct, I could do a single post and know for 100% sure. People take security seriously for a good reason.

No, one of the ONE MILLION threads said something about the EF boards "secure" email under the context of whether or not it was a platinum-only feature. The contact I wish to make is plat-to-plat, so there was ambiguity as to whether plats had their own system.

Do not sweat it bro, this is the way things go around here at times. you know what they say about opinions.........

Half the time you do not even get a straight answer depending on who you know.

Thanks -- I'm just trying to do everything 100% right. Feels a little wierd in the first place to be considering a "source".
