Nice guns. Just take care how you use them.

How much were they?

Home Depot had a special..$199 for both, with a free toolbag. I couldn't resist. 16 & 18 guage finish/brad nailers....frickin sweet.

reminds me of wootom's sig...

make sure you point them at somebody and say "Please die"

also, have some custom-made holsters!

I'm more of a paslode girl for air nailers.

I thought I had fittings for them, but they are the wrong threads...otherwise I would have probably nailed my finger or something to the wall by now.

HD opens up at 9:00a I think....I'll post a pic of my first injury :)

btw: what does paslode mean?

Paslode is a brand. Paslode and Porter Cable are 2 brands that are more commercial. You could get some of them at a HD or something but most of them would be at a commercial lumber co like mine.

I use 'middle of the road' type stuff. DeWalt makes better nailers than that, so does Porter Cable and other companies, but for the most part, I'm just a home improvement guy, not really a comercial grade contractor.

Although it WOULD be nice to have some of that heavy duty stuff, but holy shit is it expensive!!

Some of those commercial framing nailers etc are really heavy too. I think it's better to compare them, especially if you're a pro and are going to be dragging those guns around all day.

Panasonic makes the best drills. Especially cordless drills.

Really? I didn't know Panasonic made cordless drills. Interesting. And yeah, for home improvement use, lugging around a 10 pound nail gun can be kind of a pain in the ass.

How about 2 x 6's? got any connections in MI for those? I need about 12 10 footers.

Indeed. They make really nice drills. HD and places like that carry the smaller ones but the 16 and 18v's are at commercial places. Money money money! Ouch. lol

No hookups in MI but seriously, how hard can it be to find 2x6 10's? lol Maybe if they were purpleheart or something but if you're talking about regular #2 pine you can get that anywhere.

lol, I was kiddin about the lumber....but I'm gonna at least look into the Panasonics. Sounds like another 3 hour surf session that I don't have time for

For the first 9ish months after I bought my house I swear half of my paychecks went to home depot.

very nice jack! you have a compressor?

Yeah, but it's gas, so I would have to run it outside, I'll probably pick up one of those 120v 15A deals for indoors...but they aint cheap either.

I dunno if your house was new, but I had to wait awhile for mine to settle, because it was just built in '99-00, so I waited for all the nail pops and cracks to happen while it was settling before I really did anything besides furniture and appliances.

The time is now

i know, thats why i asked. I have a big one, but its actually too big- i can't get it in the house easily. I want a small one, for nailguns and stuff, but i'm not sure if its worth it.

Heres the one I'm looking at :

D55155%25_1.jpg

Home Depot : $329.00
Lowes : $393.82

I like DeWalt tools, so I think it's gonna be a HD thing. I think it weighs like 70 lbs. or something.

nice! i just don't know if its worth it for me- not many of my tools require a compressor, and i have one, its just in the garage. i'm not sure if i want to get one just to put up moulding, you know?

Well, I have alot of air tools, so it would be worth it for me I think. The IR ones I have, I run in the garage, so my gas compressor aint a big deal.

You can also buy smaller 'pancake' compressors from various companies for fairly cheap prices, but I really haven't looked into how much you can get out of them. I'm sure for indoor work, such as molding, repair work, etc. It would be worth it.

i use most of my tools in the garage- the smaller projects, or the ones that i can only do indoors, i guess i don't really need air tools for, but it would be nice not to HAVE to only be in the garage.
:)

A small compressor for indoors will cut the job time in half.

Dammit...I may just go buy that DeWalt now that you to me talking about it.

Why you gotta be like that dude?
