My Thoughts on Blood Testing

One of the reasons for failure is inadequate blood testing. Every responsible user of anabolics, growth hormone, etc. should have baseline blood testing. This includes, as a minimum, Testosterone levels; IGF-1, IGFBP-2, IGFBP-3 (Growth Hormone Function); estradiol; lipid profile (cholesterol, triglycerides), and comprehensive metabolic panel (kidney and liver function, etc). This means that BEFORE you start, you need this baseline. Then, one blood test toward the end of the cycle. Then, one blood test during post-cycle recovery phase. These are very important, for they help determine what your body can and can't handle and what needs to be corrected BEFORE you start. It is foolish to even consider starting when your lipid profile and comprehensive profile look horrible. Also, without a baseline, subsequent testing is meaningless. One needs to know one's condition BEFORE starting and make corrections BEFORE starting. You really need to do these three tests once and then repeat every couple of years.

Everyone on this board knows that I can provide appropriate blood testing, so there is no excuse for not getting it. If you can't afford the blood testing, then you can't afford to do the anabolics. Why take chances with your health? Just because you are young doesn't mean you are indestructible. We worry about gyno, fat/water retention, accelerated hair loss, but what about the hypertension, the anxiety, the sleeplessness, the hideous cholesterol and triglyceride profiles (cardiovascular risks), the elevated kidney values (kidney damage)as well as the elevated liver values (liver damage). Size/strength gains as well as cutting gains CAN be made safely. It is the recklessness that gives hormone enhancement a bad name. If anyone wants me to look at any of their blood testing, show me your BASELINE (testing when you are clean) first. It is useless to show me results taken during a cycle when I have no baseline to compare. If you are interested in testing, drop me an email. We need to be more responsible.

BUMP.

Been using doc's services for almost a year now. EVERY insurance I've had (3 different ones) has paid for the bloodwork completely.

Also suggest getting, duh, free and total test levels checked to see how u respond to clomid/postcycle etc.

I am getting my bloodwork done next week. What should I tell the doc I need done exactly? Any tips?

You inspired me to get tested. I realize I don't have a baseline and that is a mistake. But I will test before during and after from hear on out. I will have a good layoff between my now and my next cycle, I hope that can give me some kind of sensible base line. I am 31 (in a few weeks).. This cycle ends in 2 weeks..

I'll include the stuff noted out of range and of course the stuff we are looking for

potassium 5.3
c02 33
ALT 149
AST 53
ALK phosphatase 49
cpk 513

cholesterol 137
hdl 17
ratio 8.1
ldl 102
triglycerides 89

rdw 15.4
platelets 505

Everything else is in the ranges..

I will be ordering one meeting your requirments soon

Thanks!

I did DBOL in the beginning and winny now 50 eod to end. Liquidex at 1mg ( I think explains the hdl/ldl balance)..

Gotta bump this one up. Too many neglect this testing series and are in the dark as towhat their values are. And post-cycle testing is just as important, its a matter of timing though. Trust the Doc.

Been doing as much reading as possible on the subject. I find the split on my readings sorta odd.. My ALT is high, but the AST is barely over the bar.

I honestly evaluated my goals, I know now how to do what I need safely, sans 17aa's....

This thread is about testing and not 'Spectre's' liver. But Iit had been quiet and wanted to maybe inspire some others to get tested, and I think that worked..

More than likely, your doc will not order the necessary tests; I can order them for you. Email me for details.
