im looking big with alot of muscle at 5'8"215lbs. i dont do bodyfat tests i go by the mirror and i can see the cuts even my abs but there is this layer of fat/water that i cant get past. my current precontest program consists of 100mg test susp ed, 100mg dnp ed, 1mg liquidex ed. my diet consists of chicken, protein shakes, fish with carbs being kept to 100gms ed. even with all the cardio i do, nothing is budging....no change in fat loss, every morning i look the same. since this is the first time using liquidex and test can anyone shed some light on this for me?

As you get closer to the contest you need to eliminate the protein shakes. Any dairy products will make you look flat. I'd suggest no dairy at least 7 days out. At five weeks out increase your water intake and continue to cut the carbs. Your body may get used to the limited carbs and hit a plateau if you do not continue to lower them. Through in a moderate day of carbs(higher then normal, but not overborard, say 300)every 5-7 days for energy purposes.
Good luck bro!

nautica--i've read so much on cardio that doing it in the morning causes such a minute change in fat burning as apposed to doing it any other time i dont feel its worth it....not to mention i like to rely on my diet and not cardio as much. at the moment im getting 5 days of cardio at 45min each session. but, like i said this is my first time using test susp and liquidex for prep and im wondering if im holding a little water or what?

last season getting ready for the shows i didnt have this problem and thought the test and liquidex would really help with the muscle hardness and tightening my skin........well im big and hard but not as ripped as i like. put it this way...last season i competed at 170lbs and although i won a few shows all the judges said the same thing ...you are the biggest guy on the stage with lots of muscle but you need to get harder. this season i have similar hardness as i did at 170 but now im 215lbs. maybe im going crazy, i just want to loose a little more fat.

and i dont use dairy products rrwwdd.

I wouldn't lower your carbs any more at this point. You are taking ECA right? Bump up the dosage to 4x a day on workout days. Also try 2tbsp flaxseed oil/day.

At this point i'd be hitting cardio 7 days a week. I agree with the last poster and wouldn't lower your carbs anymore at this point. The shakes are fine just as long as their not in milk and is just whey with water. I've kept whey shakes in my diet up until about 3 days before my shows before and never had any problems.
I'm just over 2 weeks out from my show right now. I'm a little concerned with my conditioning at this point too. At 5 weeks out my trainer said I was right on the money and then at 4 weeks out and 3 weeks out although I had lost another 2 pounds said I was behind slightly and need to be harder. I can understand your panicking, it sucks doesn't it.
I lowered my carbs slightly and out of seven meals 3 of them are protein only. Basically every other meal has carbs. I'm at about 450 grams of protein a day with maybe at most 200 grams of carbs, probably more like 150 grams actually. This is the lowest i've ever had to go with my carb intake before a show. Like you it hasn't come off as easy this time. I've been at 45 mintues/day of cardio everyday since about 5 weeks out. I weighed myself lastnight and have all of a sudden come down 3 pounds this week which is probably a good thing. I'm getting close to condition with 2 weeks left and have a little more to lose. I think in time everything will fall off. It just may be falling off in places you aren't noticing. Like this time around my ass tightened up quicker whereas before that was the last place to go.

Drugs are important at this point, but way more important is your diet. PM Quadsweep or Dieslgrl for pre-contest preparation. You definately need to cut out the protein shakes this close to comp. My friend, who is a pro, and 4 weeks out has been eating nothing but chicken and yams for the past couple weeks. He's advised by a very well known former pro, so I'm sure they know what they're doing.

Every Pro has an opinion on whey shakes. I know some top trainers who reccomend whey shakes even in the last few weeks leading up until a competition. The only truth to this whole debate is that solid food is always better than shakes but getting close to 500 grams of protein isn't always feasable with just egg whites and chicken. I can speak from personal experience on this one..Whey shakes up until 3 days out from shows that I won didn't hurt me obviously and my conditioning was highly complimented by the judges. The sodium is the only real thing about them you have to worry about and sodium shouldn't be dropped until days before the show to avoid that flat look of decreasing sodium too early.

rrwwdd--i get my protein special ordered at the protein factory and i mix it with water...simple...www.proteinfactory.com

flexbaily--you mentioned sodium...could that be my problem? im using a cajun powdered seaoning on the chickin and fish i eat and its loaded with sodium. i planned to cut down to around 500mgs sodium 10days out from the ....do you think that will be enough time to get the excess water under the skin out being that my sodium intake is so high?

Sodium doesn't take long to leave the system and for you to get a dry look. I've always noticed drastic differences within days when i cut my sodium. I would cut out any tuna or seasonings as some seasonings do contain sugar and the tuna replaced with chicken breasts. My conditioning has just started to really come out and it couldn't have come any later as it's crunch time being 2 weeks out from the show. I upped my intensity with cardio to about 135 beats per minute and cut out my brown rice at night replaced by one medium potato. I've noticed nice changes to my hardness and conditioning and hopefully some of this will apply to you as well..good luck.
