These fucking scammers should learn to at least use proper grammar in their hopes of duping some poor, gullible person who still has any type of worth, unlike them.

I'm considering writing back and giving "it" a piece of my mind but of course they don't give a fuck. That's why they need to die asap.

I'll be damned if this fuck ruins my perfect feedback rating either. Another thing eBay would have to correct.

Fuck, I was hoping to have this bloody thing sold by now. Already delt with a local buyer backing out because he needed rent money, and taking it down from eBay once before because he said he'd buy it. This would be the third time I've listed the thing.

What a waste of time and money.

Did you chainsaw yours

When did you use it last. It has cool firmware updates but the games look bland compared to 360/pc games.

I would say three four months ago. I watched Ice Age 2.

wait ti ll the good games come out....

sony's too strong to let it off the hook. look at the xbox360 when it came out...not that great, but now it's strong.

btw, you think that's bad hansel? I got ripped for a $10,000 rolex i sold on e-bay by one of those scammers..in fact, a large organization. They hacked/phished someone's account with like 1000 feedback, changed all their info and bid on my shit. They then set up like 3-4 of their own "escrow sites" and basically fabricated every part of the transaction, including the "buyers" deposit into the escrow account. The sites, people etc looked super legit too...
i was desperate at the time because it was a dire situation and i needed the money....had i been more clear headed i may have done more research and been more aware, but oh well.

I'm really tired of eBay. I imagine you are too, x 10,000.

there's no way......i had the police involved and everything.they had their tracks covered well. i think they did this to alot of people.
ebay refunded me a portion of my money, but not much.

oh well, live and learn.

funny thing is i BOUGHT that rolex from making a killing on e-bay in the late 90's, early 2000....and lost it the same way lolol.

hansel did this "buyer" have little to no feedback or prior transactions? I think there's an option to only have users with 10 feedback to bid on your items...check into it. This happened to me with some pricey items before I used this option...fuggin bastids.

I have the option set to notify me of buyers with 1 or less feedback, but this account was private and -3 feedback, plus they used the buy it now so it probably got through undetected somehow.

ps- 360 > PS3 (I own both, trust me, its true)

Damn, I put it on Craigslist too. lol @ scammers.

Anything Nigeria=scam. Period. I had some dipshit saying he was a buyer and sent me a cashiers check for $8000.00 for a 2k item and wanted the extra cash sent to a so-called helper here in the US. I went along with it just cause I wanted the bogus check and did it outside eGay. I have it framed on my office wall.

Also.........once you start selling on eGay..........PLEASE beware emails stating "your account is restricted, etc" from either ebay or paypal in your email box. DO NOT REPLY OR YOU WILL BE FUCKED. SEVERELY.

send them a box of dogshit.

I use to sing xbox's praises, but with their faulty console and unwillingness to fix it, I pretty much despise them now.

It's true xbox has better games at this point, but when thousands upon thousands of their consoles break after a few months it actually is a huge piece of junk.

btw----someone in SC fucked me out of $965.00 for a stained glass window. I was actually looking for airplane tickets when my wife took my bottle of jack and made me go to bed.

I wouldn't fix your console over and over again either, stop trying to put your penis in the USB port!

Seriously though, what are you talking about? A friend of mine said their customer support was awesome. When he had an issue they immediately sent a box out for him to ship his 360 back to them, and he was only without his 360 for a week and a half including shipping time. Lot of people on-line praise their customer support, while I hear nothing but horror stories about Sony.

Mine never broke but I only had it for a couple months. My PS3 was sometimes on for around half a week at a time doing something; it is really a capable machine, and has so far been much more reliable than the 360. It just needs killer aps to make it complete. If I was still a game junkie I'd probably keep it longer, but the most interesting things to me was Folding @ Home and the firmware updates. The rest- BluRay, media functions, etc. I never used much. A game system is taxed to all hell when used for a movie player compared to a stand alone. It is a pretty cool machine though I must admit. I have more important things to focus on though, and I'm more interested now in rebuilding my PC.

I am with you on Microsoft too. They need to address their hardware problems; people in Europe are even more pissed about lack of customer service than Americans. Yet through all of this they go ahead and release yet another sku of the 360 with no real hardware improvements. I once thought about getting one this fall when they release the new 65nm process since it should be more efficient, quieter, cooler, etc but for the amount of gaming I do I decided my PC upgrades are a better investment.

i have no problems with nigerians scamming looks whats going on in their country.. i feel bad for em. :*(

my boy who lives in pine hills (crime hills) bucked a ps3 from someone.. i'm going to buy it tommorow for 3 bills.. I CAN'T WAIT..

The problem is microsoft trying to cut corners and so they did not have adequate cooling in the system.

After 6 months to 1 1/2 years, the board will warp from the heat thus breaking the sodering at the CPU. This is why everyone is getting the dreaded "red ring of death".

Sure Microsoft extended the warranty to one year (because they realized they messed up) but all they do is send you a refurbished system which will do the same thing. That's why people are on their 4th, 5th, etc xbox.

Since I do not play mine that much it took 1 1/2 years for mine to tear up. That put it out of warranty and now they want me to pay $140 to fix THEIR MISTAKE.

I hope they get their asses sued off and lose to the Playstation for shitting on their loyal customers like this.

Just yesterday news leaked of Microsoft putting a new, larger heatsink in the 360's.

Now if there was no hardware problem, then why are they doing this?

See they will never admit to THEIR MISTAKE because they would have to do a recall, lose money, get sued, etc.

They are pretty much crooks that can get away with it because they have deep pockets.

DOES ANYONE IN NIGERIA HAVE A LEGITIMATE JOB?

Seriously, every scammer in the world appears to be Nigerian.

By the way, what you have them do is overnight you a CERTIFIED CHECK. They are good at counterfeiting them. Tell them that is the only payment you will accept. It will cost them about $50 shipping to do it overnight from nigeria. Then, you just hang the little conterfeit check on your bulletin board as a memento...lol.

....and then I send them a PS3 box full of anthrax......annnnnnd 1.

aap, funny how loyalty changes eh? A company like Microsoft shouldn't need to be "cutting corners" and screwing over good customers as a result. On the other hand, Sony, while admittedly boisterous at '05's E3, release a system based on new technology that's built like a tank, (some people have had it running for months straight with no problems...even has a built-in shut down if it senses overheating) and are undercharging people by about $200 per unit, while MS is actually profiting from 360 sales now from what I've heard. At $600 the PS3 is actually a much better deal, consider it, well, works. Once devs learn the hardware (it took them a while with the PS2 at first too) it will start to shine, like the PS2. God of War 2 looks as good as any Xbox game had; maybe with the exception of Doom 3.

I'd prefer to support Microsoft but they are being corporate $$ snobs, while the now humbled Sony is working its ass off to give a better console experience. Once their Playstation Home online service launches, MS won't have many advantages besides pricepoint and streamlined game development.

go for it.. but you do realize he lives about 30 minutes away from me right?

and that I don't live in the united states, which was apparently a problem. ;)

Shite. I'd make an exception for a Canadian though.

I was thinking though maybe all this trouble I'm having selling it is a sign to keep it. The PS3 is far from its forte I'd say. Could be a lot of fun down the road.

their going for alot less than that now used with extra shit.. i dont think you'll get more than 500 for it but good luck.

FriendlyCanadian said:
so why haven't you pm'd me the information or is this already sold?

1. You said Woot lives half hour from you
2. I decided to keep it for the time being

It's good to have around because I know I'll want to use it at least now and then, especially when some good software comes out.
I wouldn't have sold it for what I wanted for it anyway.
