My perplexing trip to the DMV...

Lost my license and had to go get another one. While waiting. there was a lady taking and eye exam for her test. She didn't speak a lick of english. Didn't even understand numbers. The examiner kept saying "line 5, read line 5."...the lady was clueless.

But get this, they allowed someone to translate to her !!! So this lady who doesn't even know 1-5 in english, gets a license to drive in the US???!!!

What if a cop pulls her over? She can't read the signs?....scary stuff....

A perfect example of those many glorious US Civil Liberties everyone is afraid to lose to be safe.
I for one, think we should maybe re-Examine some of our Political Correctness we worry about in daily life...

Another example,
My Daughter goes to a good Private School and there is an Arab student in her class that Speaks little if any English.
4th grade, and the school says he is there for social exposure, not to actually learn.
He is well behaved but can sometimes cause disruptions in the classroom.

That must explain all the 40 mph driving in the passing lanes and the slowing down to merge that seems so popular down there...

Here is the kicker... they waited till day 45 to send me a letter telling me it was suspended...
