My New Years Resolution

I have been in group therapy for a few weeks, covering (amoung other topics) why I am having difficulty establishing and continuing a long term relationship.

In yesterdays session, it occured to me that no matter what I did or what I said with a potential partner, and no matter how hard I tried, the "relationship" would never work out.

I hearby vow as my New Years Resolution to be and stay single, and be happy with my singleness.

At least I still have my close friends, health, house, job, outrageous debt, and my never ending lust for Donovan McNabb (or Terry Tate - it's a push)

Best advice I ever heard was from someone I can't remember on here; 'You'll never be happy with someone else till you are happy on your own'.

Fat chance! You know it's bad when you tell a potential mate that you are looking for a long term, and they run away.

It's even worse when you are dating somebody, everything is going very well, but you don't tell them you're looking for a long term, and they STILL run away.
