My new thick bars...

You can see my new toys here. The regular bar and the 2" bar I have had for a while but I got the big bars today. They are 2.386 and 2.876" I think... I wanted a 2.5 and a 3" bar but without spending a TON of money...I couldn't get exactly what I wanted. I can't wait to use them tomorrow...

What exercises are you going to do?

Power cleans, ohp, curls, rows, maybe deads....and whatever else I can think of...

Spatts...I bet Zerchers would be a lot less painful with one of these!!!!

You're going to have to be careful shaking people's hands after training with those bars :p

You ever use grippers?

B fold,
Did you have them made somewhere locally,or did you order them?Just curious

Had them made locally...much cheaper than PDA but labor sucked on them...lol.

Hyundai must be the brand of steel...I dunno...

try cleans with them to build good grip strength, any type of rowing excercise will do as well. The also might help your back on good mornings sinc ei know you use heavy weight.

someone said something earlier for you to do actuall bicep curls....... but you may want to give wrist curls with those...... they could make closing the 3 a realty.

Looks nice. Will help for axel presses and the likes in comps.

Cheers,

I hope so. They use a thick bar (2.5"+) with 300 pounds loaded on it welded straight to pair of truck tires (non-revolving) for reps at the pro contests.

very nice. where did you have them made? local weld shop? cost(if you don't mind spilling the beans...)?

:fro:

A local welder did them for me. Total cost...$147.62. All but about 40 was in labor. :(

I have had some small things bought from him before and my father bought some steel from him and I bent it over my head...lol. I need to learn to weld!!!
