I will take pics Fri-Sun. I didn't get a permit so it has to be installed those days so the Da County Man won't be on my ass.

Have a builder making some identical ones for the garage. I am not buying from this company again.

That's a pathetic lead time.
What wood species did you get?

Mahogany.

And they kept leading me on and giving me false ship dates about the delivery time for so long, I went and filed for my $13K back from AmEx. After they did a charge back, lo and behold the people called two days later and guranteed it would be here today and I had to have a certified check waiting.

Wow really nice doors. Where are you putting them in a den? home office? Did you go with a smoked temperred glass instead of clear for privacy?

bro, they are exterior doors.

I hope so for 13k! Comparable interior doors should be less than half that. I did a set of french doors onto my deck that were made to match a set of interior doors between the dining/living room: interior was $2900, exterior was $8400...same manufacturer.

Straight guys can like that stuff too!

I got my Persian rugs today and I'm just giddy :)
I have a rug fetish. I used to collect old Caucasians until the bottom fell out. I still have them but they aren't worth what they're insured for any more. I have some awesome Kermans and one incredible 18x24 Agra. I had a war rug fetish for awhile also but sold most of them . Kazak's are my passion.

That one is hanging on the door to my home office...I just tossed it down and snapped a pic. It's circa 1800

I figured interior because of the nice wood used. What do they seal it with. I would assume they would require some yearly maintenance for protection from the exterior elements unless you have a vestibule type entry. I should have read where it said exterior doors I suppose

AAP, are those BACK DOORS?

ouuuuuu what kind?
Ack! He told me the name of the living room one today. I bought a silk one for the formal living room and foyer entry way. Then a wool for the dining room and a silk/wool combo for the study and the kitchen keeping room.

The living room one is the prettiest rug I've ever seen. It's 14x18 with deep blues and reds -- but also has an unusual green, gray, and periwinkle blue.

I'll may take some pics in the next few days.

I've been a rug nut for a very long time too. It's amazing art.

I'll take some pics and post them over the next few days.

I see an elbow in your future.

But don't worry, I will make sure I include the hairy Irish man that is going to install it in my pics for you.

Naked.

Be sure to test your silk, pull out a strand and drop it in a cup of bleach: real silk disolves instantly. Lot of mercerized cotton out there sold as silk. The silk /wool combo is most likely a Nain....is it a floral/vine pattern with leaves outlined in silk? BTW, are these new rugs or old? Living room may be a Heriz......geometric pattern, central medallion?

13K for doors?

If a drunk ass ex shows up knocking on them doors, make sure you kick some ass

I would kick his ass whether he knocked or not.

interesting how your prioities and desires change as you mature.....if someone had told me i would save my money and get excited over beveled glass doors or cypress shutters or cast iron fireplace summer fronts when i was 19........i wudda made some rather rude comments about their intelligence and family background.
