My new budget ... $40/day to piss away

PICK3

New member
Each pay period (every 14 days) I'm allowing myself $40/day for discretionary spending.

On payday I'm withdrawing $520 (13 days x $40) to last me to the next payday for all of my trips to Dept. stores, bars, movies, and other non-essential expenses. So if I don't spend the $40 one day the next I'll have
$80 to piss away.

The only essential expense will be food if I dine out.

How's this sound?

sounds good to me but thats alot to spend in one week
maybe you should spend 40 one day and 20 the next or something....i mean what do u need to buy in order to spend 250 a week?
save that money in case something bad happens

My experience with money is you have plenty when you don't need it and not enough when you do.

Not saying it's true, just happens to me all the time.

Well what if he has spent 500 bucks in 2 weeks and then bam he gets in a wreck and has to meet his 500 or 1000 dollar deductible with the insurance
or something in his house tears up
or he has to go to the ER for something.....and the insurance covers 80% of it and your stuck with the 20......theres always something that can go wrong.....im just saying....save your money thru the week and spend some on the weekends
but im sure im older than pick
when i was 18, every payday id go to the mall and buy a new outfit or a cd or something....but i also invested in a bedroom suit.....got my dad to cosign for me and i was slowly building up my credit....maybe you should do that.....get a loan to build up your credit.....theres just alot of stuff you can do with 500 every 2 weeks.....to help you in the future

I already budgeted necessities and savings.

In my new plan ... I don't have to spend the $40, what I don't spend carries over. Eventually if a nest egg builds up, I can purchase "big ticket" items without using credit (and paying interest).
