My interesting observation

I just wanted to throw this one out there - first - the background.

I had to drop my car off for service. The service center is about 2 miles from my office - so I hoofed it to work that morning. The day was one of the first warm days after about 16 inches of snow a few days earlier, so it was wet, slushy, and kind of foggy out. The sidewalks were snowed over so I had to walk on the road. As I was walking, the first car that passed me, changed lanes and then slowed down to make sure that I didn't get splashed. Wow, that was nice - so I looked to see who it was and maybe wave a thanks. He wasn't looking at me, but it was a mexican man. So I started watching cars, the drivers, and their behaviors involving me. I needed something to do. Here are my results - estimated results as I didn't write anything down.

Minority drivers, Male and Female = 100% of them changed lanes to avoid spraying me. About 50% of them even slowed down.
White Males = About 80% to 85% of them changed lanes to avoid spraying me. None of which slowed down.
White Females = NOT ONE OF THEM CHANGED LANES OR SLOWED DOWN! Roughly 90% of them were on the damn phone.

Conclusion - white female drivers need to get their heads out of their asses. Oh and Minority means black and mexican - no asians were seen during my walk - but I am sure you realized that because I didn't get hit. :) HA!

lol I would have moved over. That is horrible when people don't worry about others or help people out!!
You know what I witnessed that was messed up yesterday. There were these three ladies transporting a horse. Well traffic was backed up on this road. I am not sure if they opened it or it opened on it's own, but the back door of the horse thing was open. The horse was moving hard trying to get out. He almost did and the ladies were pushing the horse with all their strength and one was pulling his tail hard. Well all the cars in front of me just watched and I had my windows down so I heard the lady yell "won't anyone help us" Picture 3 ladies trying to tame a pissed off horse. That damn thing almost got free. Well right as I was pulling up some big guy in a truck parked and went to help the ladies out. It just amazed me though how much those ladies stuggled and not one damn man took the time to help them. Good for that big guy that stopped. Anyway, sorry to hijack your thread I just thought it went good with your people are heartless asssholes thread :)

Are you cute? If you answer " Yes", I would have splashed you! Of course I would have then offered you a ride home so I could get you out of those wet clothes. ;)

Well, if I were single still too.

No.

Well thanks - I think if everyone take some time and thinks about it - not many people would really want to splash someone, but you have to be thinking when driving too. Not yappin on the damn phone.

Half the time I have left my cell phone at home. I hate the damn thing to be honest. I cringe when I see it's work calling, so, what fun is that?

When I do have the damn thing on me, I'd rather take a kick than have to dig thru my HUGE purse to find it. So, I leave it ring down at the bottom of purse.

I don't like to talk and drive either - but I am a bit of a hypocrite because if I am calling the wife and she doesn't answer - then she gives me the, "I was driving and it was in my purse excuse" - I throw back - "Why do you have a cellphone if you don't answer it?" So I guess I am just a dick.

Well," Dick", that is what voice mail is for so we don't have to listen to you complain! :)
