My Gyno Surgery

New member
Had surgery last Wednesday after having a lump that would never go away. I had both glands completely excised and lipo on both sides. I am already thrilled with the way it looks. I used no pain meds, other than tylenol and had some discomfort the first night, but slept well after that. I even went to work the day after surgery (maybe not too smart). The vest itches, but otherwise is not a big inconvenience.

I do not advocate unecessary surgery, but I can tell you that this was the easiest, most painfree, cosmetically rewarding procedure I have ever had (shoulder surgery and appendectomy were the others).

Congrats on your successful surgery,I to will have to go under the knife, probably next year some time.

Congrats ... for the most part ppl (like yourself sounds like) who get the surgery when their gyno isnt too bad (octopussed onto the entire pec) tend to have the best apparence, easiest surgery, and ridiculously quick recoverys.

Thinking of loping out a little bit of puberty gyno myself.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you spend out the door? I assume you weren't able to get your health insurance to cover any of it?

$5,500 OTD. No, this was considered comsmetic and insurance did not cover it.

Glad to hear you're doin good...$5,500 is'nt Chump Change considering a set of Bolt Ons for your chick is around 5 Grand...and they are actually getting something put in...

Anyway, before and after pics would be cool...I might have it done in the next year.

cost me 75$ for the surgery. BC/BS ppo baby! If you search under my threads in the past, you'll find the whole story. But the down side is that the surgeon didn't take the glands, just the gyno. I think it had to be done this way so ins. would cover since i told him that it was from puberty and it started hurting once I lost 25 pounds :) The only downside is that the gyno is gone, but i have massive scarring - so I get to go through the procedure again :p ... hahaha. just my luck :)

welcome to the club!

keep your vest on!!!!!

PITA vest!, but I wear it 24/7, only take it off to wash it. I wear ace bandages underneath so it doesn't get sweaty. I worked out five days after surgery, just a light leg work out with no problems. Today I did arms and will continue to ease back into it.

Planning my next tren cycle already !

NO!!!!

dont do arms or any excersise brother, you recruit alot more muscle groups then just your biceps when you curl!!!!!

trust me!!!

also gyno will come back if you slack on protection ( it did to me)

it wont come back...he had the glands excised
but it could mes up the contour of the pec while it is healing...which is bad news

Update:

Stitches and bandages removed today. The stitches were actually inside and only one little loop was left out. Doc cut it out and I was good to go. I am very pleased (so far) with the procedure. Swelling is down about 90%, but it will takes months for the other 10%. My doc said I can lose the vest at night, but wear it during the day. I think I'll keep it on at night anyway. He warned against any "vitamins" that cause a raise in blood pressure for four weeks after surgery. I really have a natural look right now. You really have to look close to see that I had surgery.

thanks fro the update

6 months to a year your chest will settle down and you can actually see how good/bad of a job it was.

sounds good thus far

One Month Later

After a month, I figure the swelling is just about gone. I did my first chest workout Wednesday and I'm already sore. I love the look. There is a small indentation on one side where the sizable lump was removed, but it has already started filling in and my doc said it will continue to do so.

I'm back in the gym 6 days a week starting this week and will be starting my next (and last for a while) cycle next week.

I understand that things are still not completely settled, but I am thrilled with how easy, relatively painless and aesthetically perfect the procedure has been. It is a minor inconvenience for a major improvement. I hope this helps some Bros out there.

god forbid I ever have to join that club (knock on wood) but what are the scars like?? are they noticeable??
My scars are VERY small....hard to even see unless I pointed it out. Looks like they cut in the normal lines around the nipple.... If I stretch the skin..I can see the faint white scar..

You can't even notice the scars. The scars from the cannula are more noticeable, but they are off to the side.

FALSE!!!

the gland isnt 100% removed, there is some attchments left that actuall reproduce it like octopus tentacles....

have you had the surgeury? have you consulted actual MD's?

i can feel the tentacles on the side of my chest. I look fine right now. But, i was considering having the outside of the pec/armpit lipoed. I gather fat there for some reason. So, I might as well do the gyno thing as well. We will see...

Update:

2-1/2 months after surgery, still no problems. I am on a Sust/tren cycle after starting with sust/npp. I am absolutely symptom free, but still taking adex, AIFM and t-3. If any bros are considering this surgery, pm me and I will share whatever I can with you. It is a major decision and not to be taken lightly.

I've heard that appendectomy surgery can be very cosmetically rewarding! Good to hear things went well bro.
