I think it goes without saying, though, that finasteride and dutasteride and other treatments for male pattern baldness decrease dihydrotestosterone plasma levels, right? Additionally, they take roughly a year to achieve any noticeable effects. To say the least, they can pose problems for those looking to increase the masculinity of their appearance.

Rogaine, in my opinion, is far preferable to finasteride unless you have vertex balding, since it won't decrease dihydrotestosterone levels throughout your body and thereby destroy your muscular gains and libido.
