ok i've been reading that ghb can be good for sleep. well, i'm not sleeping well at this point.. i've just started on antidepressants and i'm wondering if it's chemically bad to mix the two if i want to give it a try.
 
I dont know the answer to that but the anti depressants are what is causing your insomnia.try valerian root along with some excedrin pm(2 of them)or xanax:D this should help.

I just tried GHB and slept real well. I havn't slept well since starting my cycle.

You would want to be real careful mixing this stuff with anything. Maybe Fonz will comment.

lol no that is uma thurman in my avatar. apparently i look like her though.

anyway, no it's the (mild) depression that's the cause of the sleep disturbance. my drugs haven't fully kicked in yet and i'm really exhausted.

i just want to make sure that i don't mix the two if they're not good with each other.
 
thanks... what are anti-depressants classed as though? i wonder if it would be bad to almost double-dose in a way... if that's how it works. i just don't know enough about it i guess... to fully understand.
 
Small,

Try the valerian root first, if that doesn't work try G, but use a small dose first, and increase slowly!! One thing you do not want to do is OD on the shit, and it can happen easily if your careless, and do not mix with alchohol!!!!
 
Hey smallmovesal. I want to ask you a question. How do you feel about things in general on the anti-depressants? Is a lot of your emotion (good along with the bad) gone? Almost like you are just, "there," and don't care much about anything (good or bad)? I am very curious about this...
 
so far i'm just me... i haven't been on them long enough to say i'm feeling better. i feel like my perpetual "down" mood has improved a bit though. other than that i'm the same as i ever was to quote the talking heads.

antidepressants don't make you emotionless they just get rid of the bad stuff

And you are too young and pretty (not being seedy) to feel as you do...

The depression will not last. Don't let it last. Think of all the cool things in your life. Take each day as it comes. Always get enough sleep and food. Take the time to smell the flowers along the way........
 
i'm on 75 mg of effexor xr

if i sleep really horribly the night before i have to nap after work to be able to make it through my workout. i'm tired at my bedtime still... sleep like hell... sometimes wake up up to 3 times a night. even if i don't nap i still sleep like crap so it's not the napping - i know that much.

I was on effexor for 3 years. Post cancer depression and associated anxiety. I got off by using inositol (vitamin b8). Look through the posts listed... or don't... it is up to you...

get better soon.
 
but it's not the drugs that are keeping me up... i read the first one. does it have a sleep agent in it? sorry i'll keep reading...
 
is it cool to mix anti depressants and dbol? i stopped takin my zoloft for the past 7 days just incase but id like to go back on it

Fuck effexor.

Try 5HTP together with inositol. Yes, inositol helps you sleep. So does 5HTP. Effexor is a drug companies attempt at making something that 5HTP and inositol do better. Effexor, Paxil, Serzone, Lustral, etc,. are all shit half-effective drugs.
 
smalls... i have used G several times.. mainly as a party drug and i have mixed it with alcohol... and let me tell you, when i finally lay down to go to sleep, i sleep like there is no tomorrow.. i wake up like 6 hours later feeling like i slept for 10.. What i do is take the G with an eyedropper.. i usually use 2 full eyedrops with no probs... I don't know if it would have an interaction with your anti-dep? and alcohol is a dep but i had no problems..

I hope this was just a mistake. Don't drink any alcohol if you are depressed. It is a depressant.

i don't hang out on the anabolic board because i'm not doing AS...

i hang on the chat and women's boards usually.

when i plateau in my training i might consider AS though.

Smalls, if your using anti-edpressants GET OFF THEM!!!

Thay withdrawal from them is horrendous.
I've been researching GaryWary's Inositol idea and
it does show a lot of promise in treating depression.

However, DEPRESSION IS NOT the cause of insomnia or
in my case mild insomnia.

For this you need benzodiazepines or GHB.

Ambien, Xanax and Valium(among others) will help you sleep
but get ready to wake up GROOGY as hell with
a very depressed CNS. They make you light-headed
and disrupt your ability to concentrate.

GHB seems to be your best bet.

Sleep 5 maybe 6 hours and wake up "refreshed" which NONE
of the other hypnotics DO.

Remeber though, JUST FOR SLEEP. You can use it once in a
while for alcohol replacemet but thats entirely up to you.
Its only when you dose it around the clock for an extremely
long time that you can run into serious problems: i.e
psychological addiction to the "high"

Normal dose for a novice(to get to sleep) is 2.0g at night.

FONZ.. great advice... like i told smalls before.. try it with an eyedropper.. it worked well for me and allows for control since measuring out the 2g can be hard to do.

if i had known about these things before i started on them i never would have gone to my doctor... but my sis is also a doctor, and i haven't had sides from the effexor that i'm almost on my third week of taking, so i'm going to stay on the meds for the six months and then be done with them.

but the g will be necessary soon because i'm going away to school next weekend and i've got a full schedule of school plus keeping up my training so i'm going to need proper sleep.
