Hey guys- just looking for a bit of advice.

I am currently on the ketogenic diet- low carb, high protein/fat, and am considering purchasing some NYC (or something like that) to speed up my weight loss. I kick box 3 night a week (full on) for 1 hr 15 minutes per session. I am not really into the ripped-beyond-belief look, just want to trim down and get rid of excess fat.

So my question is (finally)- are theses boosters such as NYC worth it? Am I getting myself into a dangerous addictive cycle or something? Just want to know cause I haven't taken anything like this before.

Hi Leonie, welcome.

NYC and ECA have minimal effects on increasing your metabolic rate - they only amp it up maybe 3-5% - their main purpose is to energize you and supress your appetite.

If you're concerned about becoming "addicted", start with a very small dose to assess your tolerance, and don't take them every day - only take them Monday through Friday, for example, and take the weekends off to give your receptors a break.
