My firefox browser stopped working. What could be wrong?

not really, they can coexist... Firefox does some crazy things from time to time, though. HAve you updated to the latest version?

My daughter was yesterday, so she might have. I saw something on the desktop that said pics from myspace with the firefox browser button. I deleted it thinking it might get firefox up and running again.

go into your running processes, its probably running in the background(and hogging a bunch of memory too) . end process and youre back in business.
