My Fina Is Brown!!!

i'm making my first fina kit. got the kit from mr. T. it's a two cart kit. so, logically, i put two cartriges into the bottle. after it dissloved, i added the oil. it'd been sitting for 24 hours. the sediment has accumulated at the bottom, but the liquid is brown/yellow. it's pretty dark. the insructions say that the fina should be light yellow, almost transparent. i've seen home made fina before, and it was transparent yellow. did i use too many pellets??? what's going on?????

I know exactly what you mean. I did the same thing on my first batch a while ago. I had to filter it twice to get it golden.

How much heat did you use when converting it.... I've had it come out a dark amber when I used a hot water bath during the whole dissolving process...
Lighter, almost a neon yellow when I only used the hot water bath the last 15 minutes of disolving...

Both were great!

i haven't filtered it at all yet. i dissolved the pellets, and then mixed with the oil. at this step, the directions say it should be "almost transparent yellow" the NEXT step is to filter it, but i need advice first. i also haven't used any heat. mr. T's kits don't require it.

i made some last night for the first time

mine came out an amber color.......The diretions I used stated is you ise heat to spead up the disolving process the finall product will come out darker..................so i wouldnt worry, i used heat to speed up the process in my batch, as to the effectiveness...ask me in three weeks when im well into it

Really, all fina kits make up fine without heat. Heat does speed things up a bit for the impatient. Usually dark or brownish solution is a sign of heating, which causes the tren to oxidize.
The only other cause is that the pellets had already started to oxidize from improper storage or old age. I had some old cart's that were beige instead of yellow.....the solution was brown.
Go ahead and filter.....it'll probably clear up, unless you have old cartridges.

After having dissolved the pellets, and then adding the oil, you should let this sit overnight. Once the oil is added however, there should be a relatively cloudy mixture. Try holding it up to light and see if you see particles within the mixture. If so, let is sit overnight, and the next day the darker sediments should have dropped to the bottom of the vial, with the (now translucent) yellowish liquid above it... Hope it all works out.
