I KNOW I AM GOING TO GET FLAMED BY SOME FOR THIS BUT WHO CARES. I WAS AT WORK THE OTHER DAY AND THIS GIRL I NEW CAME UP AND TOLD ME ONE OF MY OLD FRIENDS WANTED TO KICK MY ASS. WELL WHEN I GOT HOME I CALLED HIM UP TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON. HE TOLD ME HE WAS GOING TO KICK MY ASS. I ASKED HIM WHAT FOR AND HE TOLD ME I WAS TALKING SHIT. THEN I ASKED HIM WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT AND HE TOLD ME THAT MY EX HAD TOLD HIM A BUNCH OF SHIT THAT WAS NOT TRUE. ALSO HIM AND SEVERAL OF HIS RELATIVES RECIEVED AN E-MAIL FROM ME SAYING A BUNCH OF BULLSHIT. I KNOW MY EX IS THE ONE WHO DID ALL OF THIS. SHE KNOWS THE PASSWORD TO MY E-MAIL. WELL I ERASED MY E-MAIL ACCOUNT. IS THERE ANYWAY TO FIND OUT WHERE THIS E-MAIL CAME FROM?

Can you not find some sort of support group that will help you with all your drama??

You need to tell your buddies to stop believing everything they hear, otherwise they're going to be manipulated by others all their lives. Are these the sort of people who buy tabloid newspapers, and no doubt believe the fictions contained therein?
 
The IP address should be included in the email received by your buddy. Then you can trace it.

Or, your email address server will have a record of the IPs that have accessed it. You might want to see if you can get a listing.

It is possible to find out what happened.

man bro....my chic is psycho like that too.......not talking shit or anything to my buddies....but somehow finding out my passwords and then checking to see if any chicks were e-mailing me or instant messaging me........i got some stories about it and a safe way to go about shit w/o her finding out shit! e-mail me for ideas!

you should post things like this on the chat & conversation board.

also, check the headers from the message that was sent. ask your friend to forward the header info. there should be an IP address in it. you can trace that using a variety of tools. cyberkit, netgeo (netgeo is crap. it says i live in california. ha). to find out where it came from (sort of).

change your password on your email addresses.
