My dog just got hit and killed

I was out running with my dogs this morning and my mastiff ran after a truck and got hit. He ran in to the woods and died a few min. later with me and the man who hit him standing there trying to decide what to do. I am just numb right now. I can't even cry.

I wish to God I have of or left him at home. We live out in the country and there is usually never even see a car so I let them run a long with me. I fucking hate myself for letting this happen to my dog

My chow got hit several times because he would break the gate and get out. He would run out in the street and bam! That's the worst feeling because it's out of your control and you can only watch it happen. I'm really sorry about your dog. He must have been driving pretty fast. When we finally had to put him to sleep bc of old age, i cried more about that than any of the girls i broke up with.

Our oldest family dog just got hit and killed by a car on a dirt road a few days ago. She was a Welsh Corgi named Foxy. We'd had her since I was in sixth grade.
