My Dog has Parvovirus

I just got a beagle puppy about two weeks ago, I was going to get him up to date on his shots Monday because he wasn't when I bought him. Yesterday afternoon he started acting really tired then he puked, had diarrhea and started acting really lethargic this morning. I got worried so I spent the extra money to have the vet called in and look at him, thank god I did but the news wasn't good. He has "Parvovirus" which I guess could have been prevented had he been vaccinated earlier. The vet said he only has about a 50% of living and will be staying with them for 3-7 days. I am really depressed and am going to go drink myself into a stupor.

Just an update. He has been at the veterinary clinic for 4 days now, I went in and visited him today and he managed to lift his head and wag his tail. I hate to see him suffer like this and feel its selfish for me to leave him like this but I want him to pull through at the same time.

my ex uncles sister had a dog with parvo... she was the type that would let the dogs lick her face (fucking gross) and she actually caught parvo. hahaha everyone thought she fucked dogs after that. HIL-arious!!!

I am sorry to hear that. My cat died of it last winter, the only one I ever loved, he had the personality of a boxer. Best wishes are with him.
