music studio program?

I'm looking for a program to make your own beats. some kind of program that turns your keyboard into a piano with different sounds, bass, effects etc. and maybe even mix in with other songs. does anyone know of such a program?

fruity loops is a drum machine and synth program all step entered like the old tb303 from roland... also Reason is dmn good for what you want to do... altho rather complicated.
