So I sent an email criticizing MT for their attack on Elitefitness, and this was the reply I received:

****,

Thank-you for your e-mail. elitefitness.com and what is happening there in
relation to MuscleTech has absolutely nothing to do with free speech, and
everything to do with the small minded manipulation of consumers. We are
certain that the vast majority of level headed consumers will quickly see
through this facade, and will understand what elitefitness.com (at least in
relation to it's attacks on MuscleTech) is really all about. Those directly
affiliated with Elitefitness.com (we have confirmed that a number of the
posts on its discussion boards have been placed by individuals directly
related to elitefitness.com) will likely not admit this in the short term.
Nonetheless, we are patient people (true product development research makes
one this way), and we will follow appropriate legal channels to ensure that
the truth comes out.

(Embedded image moved to file: pic26962.gif)Any internet keyword search on
MuscleTech or any of its products would quickly reveal many discussion
boards making comments about our products. Only elitefitness.com has ever
received a letter from our attorney's about the content of discussion
boards. Clearly, there is a reason for this distinction. In reviewing our
website at MuscleTech.com you will find factual evidence about our research
based products, including actual letters from researchers around the world
who have collaborated with us, as well as direct links to patent web sites
confirming the ownership of our research based intellectual property.
Needless to say, nothing of the sort can now, nor likely ever will be,
found on elitefitness.com.

Anyone truly independent of George Spellwin and elitefitness.com who posted
slanderous materials about MuscleTech on elitefitness.com need not worry
about what will happen soon legally.

We cannot say the same for those that are directly connected to either
Spellwin and/or elitefitness.com. and who have been involved in making
slanderous, defamatory and utterly false statements about our company and
our products

Hopefully this note and the attached letter from our attorney's (which we
note, surprisingly, elitefitness.com has chosen for some reason not to
post), clears things up for you. If so, great. If not, your opinion has
been expressed, which you have the right to do, and we thank you for your
input.

Best regards,
MuscleTech Research and Development, Inc.
