Muscles Developing Faster Than Joints and Tendons. Can any AAS help?

"We hope that our findings stimulate further research to dissect different roles played by tissue inflammation in clinical settings, so we can utilize the positive effects and control the negative effects of tissue inflammation," said Lan Zhou, M.D., Ph.D., a researcher involved in the work from the Neuroinflammation Research Center/Department of Neurosciences/Lerner Research Institute at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.

Zhou and colleagues found that the presence of inflammatory cells (macrophages) in acute muscle injury produce a high level of a growth factor called insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) which significantly increases the rate of muscle regeneration. The research report shows that muscle inflammatory cells produce the highest levels of IGF-1, which improves muscle injury repair. To reach this conclusion, the researchers studied two groups of mice. The first group of mice was genetically altered so they could not mount inflammatory responses to acute injury. The second group of mice was normal. Each group experienced muscle injury induced by barium chloride. The muscle injury in the first group of mice did not heal, but in the second group, their bodies repaired the injury. Further analysis showed that macrophages within injured muscles in the second group of mice produced a high level of IGF-1, leading to significantly improved muscle repair.

"For wounds to heal we need controlled inflammation, not too much, and not too little," said Gerald Weissmann, M.D., Editor-in-Chief of The FASEB Journal, "It's been known for a long time that excess anti-inflammatory medication, such as cortisone, slows wound healing. This study goes a long way to telling us why: insulin-like growth factor and other materials released by inflammatory cells helps wound to heal."

muscle inflammation is good for healing.. but tendons and cartilage usually or always never heal. thats the problem.

I totally agree inflamation at the site of injury is a good thing, thats why prolotherapy works and you should avoid anti-inflamatories, ice, coertisone injections etc.

However chronic whole body joint inflammation due to allergic reactions to gluten is not a good thing. That kind of system wide inflammation can not only be painful but put a whole lot of unneeded stress on the body.
 
I am gluten intolerant so im sure that has an effect on my standpoint, but inflamtion in the joints is not a good thing. the body does take a inflamitory responce to muscles after training arachodonic acid ect. is that how you spell it? my spelling sucks anyhoo.... a common effect from arachodonic acid supps is that they could cause aching joints and are bad to take if you have injuries. I tryed some and had to quit cause my back was just killing me and i havent ever had any back problems. I know it was the sup cause the pain went away after stopping. sport injuries do to wear and tear aching joints back problems all usually stem from inflamation. Bread and wheat products are inflamitories among other problems. the thing is that wheat is hard on everyone just more so on people who are intolerant. Im not telling everyone not to eat it but people should know about it. I was sick and miss diagnosed for all kinds of shit my whole life. When i found out i was gluten intolerant and quit eating gluten all of my illness went away! Gluten is worse on gluten intolerant people but this is some of the things gluten does to everyone.... not gonna get to sci on it... gluten when in the small intestine where most nutrients are absorbed allows toxins to pass with the gluten directly into the blood stream. This causes the body to work harder to get rid of impurities. Gluten blocks some of the obsoption of some of your food especialy healthy fats. So when adding wheat to the picture your actually reducing the nutrients taken in from your other foods. For me i was mall nurished my hair thined tooth enamel was weak and was hypoglycemic. Wheat products tend to direct your cals more twards fat rather than muscle. I dont want to get so far into it but it causes inflamation in the small intestine joints and skin and the brain. This is why migraine sufferers are recommended gluten free diets. I had migraines that lasted almost a month that would give me constant vertigo and all sorts of other shit... I really think i could have died from it and this why i take my standpoint to tell others. Now for a normal person these things might go un noticed but are still taking place even if at a very low degree. Gluten free diets are constantly recommended to athletes weather they are gluten intolerant or not and athletes reap the beniffits from it! my friend is not intolerant but eats gluten free for athletic performance and says it helps his joints stabalizes his energy helps him lean out and ups his endurance. So no matter weather you are gluten intolerant or not there are bennifits for everyone who goes gluten free. You might be fine eating gluten but you might be fine drinking a 2 litter of soda a day too. Its crazy cause your taught wheat is good for you and im not saying it doesnt have its nutrients but it does have its downside for everyone. Like i said im not trying to make everyone gluten free but its something we dont take into much consideration that we should. I think im gonna write up a post in the nutrition section that goes into a lot more detail. but there is a whole shitton more things that gluten does to people. i know someone who went through hell for many years.. went to dozens of docs.. no one could figure it out. luckily he researched it himself and found out he had a gluten problem. so you are definately not alone on that.. i bet most people have no idea.

they say its one of the most miss diagnosed conditions there are. Its a fairly new or at least not well known condition in the u.s. but nothern eroupe has many studies on it.... My cousin is intolerant as well but i didnt think i was cause she had a lot of symptoms that were different than mine.
