Muscle Twitches

how common are these? my muscles have always twitched uncontrollable. i have memories as a child of where i just couldnt make it stop. is this a symptom of something serious?

describe the twitching....are they like little waves/ripples across the muscle?

big twitches where the muscle just jerks? does it make you lose conciousness or do you find yourself confused?

is it just one twitch or a set of twitches? anything make it better or worse?

go see a doctor if you're worried....they are the only ones that can see it and diagnose it properly

its not a wave or a ripple. ive had the jerking type of twitch in the past. the one i have today is in my upper forearm close to the elbow. the twitch is in just one specific location and the muscle just constantly twitches .

i have never lost conciousness from it. not even close. i wouldnt say im confused, but rather just annoyed at it. nothing has ever made it better or worse.

ive had these twitches my entire life so im not too worried about it. i was just curiuos if it may have been a symptom of something more concerning.

thats a natural side effect of working out, or exercising in just about any shape or form. I think its your muscle repairing itself or something, look it up on webmd.com

Yeah the combo of the two works great. Most people who work out tend to be be Mg deficient because we lose a lot of it through sweat. I've had great experience with cal/mag

thanks. ive been considering taking a mag supplement because i take a lot of zinc and i heard that zinc decreases the amount of mag in your system

Muscle twitching can also be due to stress, however that usually occurs around the eyes, due to misfiring of the nerves to the fine ocular muscles.

A good way to reduce muscle twitching is to take a B-Complex vitamin which helps with the nervous system. You can find that at most grocery stores.

thrashersf is correct stress is a common cause and usually present itself in the eye but other muscles could easily be affected like the hsoulder, forearm and back.
