Muscle spasms while pinning

Does anyone else get this and if so what does it mean? It has happend the last two quad pins. I go in very slow with the quad relaxed and it will start to twitch as soon as the needle breaks the muscle membrane. .. weird... nothing else out of the ordinary tho.. no swelling no redness etc etc

you are going through a blood vessell because you are pinning the wrong spot on the quad

draw a line going both ways while standing up and pin the upper outer quadrant where the quad peaks and go in directly.

if you are twitching like that then you are hitting a bad spot as steve pointed out... there is little room for error in the the quad... you should not push through that if it starts twitching...

It's a nervous reaction. Try not looking

In addition to what everyone above already posted - you are most likely magnesium deficient
