Muscle Milk....all hype?

Do you need carbs? Yes. But if you cut down on carbs, guess what will happen..... you will lose weight (a portion of it water weight). Carbs if not completely used by the body are much more likely to be stored as adipose tissue than proteins and even certain fats.

The incorrect use of carbs can lead to weight gain... many would agree using them in correlation with workouts is essential, but saying don't eat carbs their bad for you is comical and getting old.

What did he say that was wrong?? He did not say stop eating carbs so I'm not sure what your talking about. Infact what is your definition of "incorrect" in tems of carb usage since you bashed him?

muscle milk has a load of carbs ....................... carbs arent good for losing body fat

Its kind of obvious how carbs can be used incorrectly. Using complex carbs immediatly post workout isnt in the best interest, just as using excessive refined high GI carbs early in the day isnt logical. Use only what you need because IMO theres no better fuel for the body, but saying carbs aren't good for losing bodyfat is comical

To be honest , I would like to see a high carb diet that is good for weight loss.
Almost all of the "good" carbs are slow digesting such as yams , oats , green veggies and brown rice. I can see a diet off those 4 things but I have seen peanut butt or egg diets which are just variations of an atkins diet so... I think most bodybuilders when they are preparing for contest even remove milk from thier diet because of the sugars , even though lactose is low GI.

How about eating spinach ( the leafs ) or lettuce with almonds and cottage cheese. Could be 50% carbs depending on the amount of salad you consume.

Could eat this 6x a day (while maintaining a caloric deficit) with proper vitamin/mineral/BCAA supps this diet would be good for weight loss.

does anyone need to add that a calorie deficit no matter what the calories come from will equal weight loss?
