Muscle Imbalance

I am right hand dominant. I noticed that my rights side is more developed than my left. I am trying to correct this because I believe it is a step in correcting my lower back dysfunction.

Beware that targeting right abs, obliques has potential to exacerbate poor left sided core axial spinal dynamics.Twisting maneuvers and crunches should done with much focus.

First of all you should seek professional help like a doctor and or chiropractor! Then what do u mean when you say lower back disfunction?

Same problem here bro. it's gotten a lot better since I started using a lot of dumbbells though. You have no choice but to use the same amount of power on each side!

Also, you might want to try going just a bit lighter so you can focus on your form just to be sure. I know no one wants to see the weight go down but that was a big part of my problem as well.

I have 3 bulging discs and something wrong with my SI joint. MRI shows nothing but MRI's have a hard time reading them as well, it is where the pain is at. I am thinking my muscle imbalance is throwing off my back.

How did you find out about the bulging disks and do you mean S1 ?

I had an MRI on my lower back and it showed three bulging disc. I went to an Orthopedist and he identified this clunking in my pelvis to the the SI Joint (Sacroiliac Joint). I got an MRI done on the SI joint but is showed nothing, but from research MRI on SI Joints are very hard to detect problems.

Yes bulging disks are to be respected. Echoing the other experienced members here, correct form - safety principle should always be in front, lite weight until you're comfortable working the area and defiantly consult you doc and reputable physical therapist your goals, who then can individually design a strength and conditioning program - before trying to balance yourself under stress loads. It will take more than luck - you have to figure out what you can do and then be consistent.

No objections to that!
