Mr X's carb/pro cycling diet

I am currently doing Mr. X's Carbohydrate cycling diet. http://www.elitefitness.com/articledata/mrx/procarb.html

4 days:
1 hour low intensity cardio
0.4g carb per lb bodyweight
1.75g protein per lb bodyweight

2 days:
40 min med intensity cardio
1g carb per lb bodyweight
1.3g protein per lb bodyweight

1 day:
45 min cardio
3.5g carb per lb bodyweight
1g protein per lb bodyweight

Tomorrow is the high carb day for me, and I have felt very energetic, pumped and hard all week. Today is the only day I was a little bit hungry, and my workout was strong anyway. I've skipped 2 of the 6 cardio sessions, and I ate one apple too many today 'cause apples are damn good (I don't feel bad). For fats, I eat some natty PB with a spoon or in a shake when I feel like it --- probably about a Tbsp per day for preworkout energy.

I'm really amazed how pumped I am, and it's amazing that this afternoon is when I started to feel a little bit hungry --- it was timed perfectly for me I guess. I usually do a diet similar to this, but not so structured like this. I have lifted hard 5 out of the last 6 days, I'm amazed.

I think I'm running about a 20% caloric deficit, but I am making up for lost time and an unexpected visitor will come here this summer. I'm thinking about eating less than 1g per lb of bodyweight, because I see no reason to eat that much protein.

Has anyone else tried this diet? What did you think?
