Mr X, a question about Bulking part 2

Coldshot

New member
I was reading through the bulking part 2 article and really like what i see. This could be the answer to controlling my fat gain.

There are times when i train twice a week instead of 3. On Mon and Thur.

Would it advisable to just drop my calories after training day? Or should i decrease it daily until thur?

Thank you

I would only have high cal on days you train, all others stick to low cal -low cal manual wise that is.

Thought I'd post this question here, rather than creating a whole new post.... hopefully you'll see it, Mr X....

I've asked before, but maybe you didn't see it. But how long do you believe muscles are receptive to protein uptake after a workout?

Some people eat big the whole next day after a workout, but you seem to think you should eat big only the remaining hours of the day after your workout. How long AFTER your workout should you be eating high protein and carbs, and what leads you to believe this?

Also, assuming I train in the afternoon, why do I eat big the whole day, even BEFORE the workout?

I would like to know that too, DB. On my previous bulking cycle, i kept cals at a constant 3300-3500 daily. Put on a good amount of mass with alittle too much fat.

I'm gona give the bulking cycle a go for 1 month. Its weird having to eat big only on training days. But if its from Mr X, theres truth to it. :)

it's different for everyone

like I said, the whole day of the workout you eat "big" so to speak

Also, assuming I train in the afternoon, why do I eat big the whole day, even BEFORE the workout?
because you will be creating a state of anabolism in the body which will promote muscle gain and glucose uptake, in turn helping recovery.

Mr X, have you tried this diet before? Were you able to put on good muscle mass while on this diet? Could you explain why someone should choose a bulking cycle over a constant calorie intake?

thanks

Thank you Mr X. I'll be more than happy if i can get 15-20lbs of mostly muscle in 4 months.

The bad thing about my body is that it stores fat too darn easily.

so lets say i train 2 times a week half body each day, can i drop carbs on my off days considerably low and then up my cals big time on those two days? or do u think that is too much low calorie days a week for a bulking diet?

Yes, you follow the manual. Basically high ratios on days you train and low on non-training days. No matter if you train 1 day a week or 4 days a week :)
