We have the unfortunate task of reporting this story. Curt "Mr. Perfect" Hennig was found dead in a hotel room in Tampa, Florida today.

Hennig was in town for a show being promoted by Jimmy Hart at the Tampa State Fairgrounds. He was last seen this morning around 9:30 AM by Mickey Jay in his room alive and in good spirits

A few hours later, Hennig was supposed to show up at the gym to work out. When he didn't arrive, a workout partner went back to the room and he was found dead at the age of 44.

We have no more details at this time. We send our deepest condolences out to the Hennig family and friends.




I was really disappointed that his run with WWE last year didn't pan out. He is one of my all-time favorites.

I'd really like to know the cause of his death.

And why do so many people thing is last name is HenniNg?

i saw him wrestle. there was a black dude standing next to me holdin women's underwear and he kept screaming "he mr perfect, i got yer underware!"

He truly loved the wrestling industry, even in a match last year, he said he still gets goose bumps going out there and preforming.
