The 2006 version. Was pretty good. Even though you knew "the story" behind it because of the old version this one was pretty good. Very suspenseful and full of tension.

it's gotta have about 30 or so remakes they're planning on doing in the next few years. some of them were new features when i was a teen. making me feel old.

the house was pretty sweet but the lighting was lame. too dark all the time. except..what was with that terrarium/arboretum thing? absolutely placed there for the movie. even rich eccentrics wouldnt have something that lame in their house.

Never saw the first one. The decor would escape my notice most likely, but sounds like it has a good "snuggle factor"

The first one was better because it didn't have cell phones or caller ID.

The phone kept ringing and then he whispers "have you checked on the children lately?" Only for her to discover the children are dead and the police operator tells her that the calls are coming from inside the house.

I thought the movie sucked. Especially the ending. She couldn't have been any more of a stupid babysitter.

I don't get why so many people said it sucked. It did about as good as a movie like that could do, especially involving teenagers........hot.....teenage girls. The ending was pretty cold and unsettling but I thought it was good. I was expecting a sugar coated ending which would've been cheesy.
