Motherfucker I was in the military! And believe me if I could, I would go blow them fuckin bastards to meet Allah! Maybe you have forgotten about the civilians these fuckers have beheaded !! How fuckin convenient for you. It's because of those boys that your liberal panty waste ass can sit on a computer and say what the fuck you want.

So where are those Weapons of Mass Destruction? The Abilities to launch a nuke in less than 45 minutes? where?

You are a hypicrit for supporting this war and yet you are not willing to go fight in it. Nothing between you but air and opportunity.

I am a what you like to call a "liberal" (progressive thinker) and I'm not against war when it's absolutely necessary. I just know that some of you sick bastards couldn't exist without war because you get off on fucking shit up and killing people. I don't know how anyone could get excited about killing people, but I know they do. I've known many men like that. A lot of them are the same ones that get a hard on from hunting down animals and blowing them away. Not saying that you're one of them.

Maybe so. I didn't like the way they do things. I was trying to get away from home, make my father proud. Had no idea what I was getting myself into. I respect the military and some, probably most are good men. I did have the balls to get up out of my bed in the middle of the night and go knock on the door of the head drill instructor and tell him that I wanted to go home. That I felt that I made a mistake. It was comical. They were walking up and down the aisles when we were all in the bed and calling me a psycho. "Norman Bates." LMAO. Haven't killed anyone yet.

Can you fuckin read you idiot! I said point fuckin blank. I know it is hard for your goddamn liberals to hear things other than what you want to. That I was in the military !! And now they want let me back in because I have been out for too long. There were WMD's found. Not yet in great quantities but they were biological warheads found! And the ENTIRE UN saw the exact same evidence ! And they voted UN-FUCKIN-ANONYMOUS to pass resolutions ordering him to get rid of what he had. He did not do it. So that was MORE than enough power to blow his ass up. You are the same liberal who would say if another 9/11 happened. Why did the president do something the first time. And the fuckers they are fighitng with now are people just wishing to reak havoc. They mass majority of the population`wants to live in peace. And are happier than a pig in shit that the americans came.

Look war is STUPID !!! I do NOT condone or believe in war. But sometimes it is a necessary evil. It's kinda like this scenario. If your son was being picked on in school by a bully. Would you tell him to fight back or just take it? Knowing full well if he fights back more than likely the bullying will end. But if he does nothing that the bullying will continue. Which will you advise him to do?

just want to point out what a stupendously idiotic statement this is. it fair enough when you say such a thing about a foreign invader, but given that the US is fighting an illegal, immoral war, and is putting its soldiers in harms way by choice (rather than circumstance, as per the US) then you cannot make that statement fairly.

of course, it is becoming clearer by the post that you are incapable of taking on concepts as simple as that one.

Laughing *not* Out Loud at all you gung ho "Let go play Army" .. bad asses

30 Min after this video was taken, I bet 90% of these boys were shittin in their Uni's when they had to move on that position they were firing on from the roof.. But they still did it ..

War is not Glamorous, Cool, Fun or even Heroic..
It should not be something you WANT to do..
Only from the Halo playing civilian side do you hear this .

It sucks and when its happening you just want to get it done and go home alive.
You do all you can to ensure those brothers and sisters around you also get to go home..

Haul back to the US, 25 flag draped coffins in a cargo plane, and you will know the respect and reverence
they deserve and how much War sucks..

During load secure and unload, no one talks, no one laughs, no one hardly looks at one another while making triple sure
all the caskets are secured so that there is no chance they will shift in flight.

Look at these pictures and watch the video again in that mindset..

about 80 foreigners were killed if memory serves. 100,000 iraqi non combatants are dead.

im asking myself if youre really obtuse enough to need the discrepancy in those numbers explained to you, and sadly, i think the answer is yes. youre just not worth the time, though.

Which one you want brother? MANY of the resolutions STATE that is the resolutions are NOT complied with Iraq will suffer the consequences. And in international language that means by FORCE. Well, no fuckin shit dumbass. The fuckin war is in Iraq. So it stands to reason that there would be more of them killed. Where in the fuck do you get 100,000 non-combatant deaths from? Al Jazeera TV? Those numbers dont mean SHIT !!! The war is in Iraq. AGAIN, for the dumbass in you. It stands to reason that more Iraq's will be killed.

All these "Semper Fi Never Die"! folks are cracking me up with this tough guy "Go get em" talk. I doubt anyone that has ever seen real combat thinks this way. You're right. I've never been at war but I was trained for combat. Playing with guns with your brothers is not the same as fight with real enemies...Those guys over there probably will have a long recovery time for their minds when they come back. They are doing a really really good job. It's not easy. The constant sensation of fear, panic, surviving every day, crying, hungry, sleepy, bloody, you have to think twice. Without our great soldiers this nation will be nothing. Why? Because if we don't fight the world to keep the global economic stability, this country will stop growing. SInce we are more an empire than a country we have to make sure that the world is working for our convenience. That's it. Once you start, you can't stop. We got to that point first than others. Probably China will be in the same situation in a decade.

Resolution 1441 Gives ANY UN member the authority to enforce the resolution!

http://www.un.int/usa/sres-iraq.htm

Article 13 states consequences will come to Iraq if they do not comply with the resolutions! CAN YOU READ THAT !!! It states they have REPEATLY warned Iraq. That means SIR that ALL UN nations agree that if the Iraq does not comply they would face consequences!!! And they did NOT do that. Therefore by the authority of the resolution voted UNANIMOUSLY by ALL UN nations. I can give you more or is this enough!

Quote " Recalls, in that context, that the Council has repeatly warned Iraq that it will face serious consequences as a result of it's continued violations of it's obligations"

Now you have NO MERIT !!! Here is your proof you wanted. Just let me know if you want more. But I believe this will be enough to proof you wrong!

International condemnation by what THREE fuckin countries. Which has been alleged was in bed with Saddam. Come on my brother you will have to do better than that!

Unfortunately civilian death occurs during war. But I can only imagine how many of those were actual civilians.

Well real combat is not like playing ghost recon or counter strike. One bullet in the corner of a wall makes a lot of dust and debris. One M-16 shooting will get a lot of dust from a wall. In that video, everybody is shooting to 1 or 2 dudes behind those walls. That's why you can't see nothing but the rats are there.

um, i dont know if this is too complicated an idea for you, but no WMDs were found in iraq. apart from a couple of old cannisters of sarin, the only evidence of WMDs were latent weapons programs, which has a couple of implications. you see, if a weapons program is latent, it means (gasp) that it is not active, which means (get this...) that IRAQ DID COMPLY WITH THE UN, AND THEREFORE DID NOT DESERVE "CONSEQUENCES"

now, on to the next, rather pertinent point: the meaning of the word consequences. the word consequence does NOT mean "invasion with overpowering force"

is that too difficult for you? just say so, and ill chat about it a bit more.

just to recap, in case your mind wanders again: Iraq didnt ahve any WMDs and therefore complied with UN demands. did it deserve 'consequences' in the form of invasion, hundreds of thousands of deaths, billions of dollars in damage...not to mention the indignity of having its soverignity stripped away? A YES OR NO ANSWER IS FINE WITH THIS QUESTION

To play devil's advocate, the fact that we havent found any WMDs is completely moot. They refused to turn over documents, allow unconditional inspections, etc.

You obviously dont understand. 7th grade comprehension my son.

The UN resolution required Iraq to permit unconditional inspections alone with unfettered access to documents and staff pertaining to their weapons programs. They did not comply, hence retribution was warranted.

The question isnt whether or not they actually had WMD. Remember, 7th grade...

I didnt want to fuck anybodys wife except mine.

oh please, even if i conceded that the US was justified in pursuing some action or other against Iraq (and i dont), then it should have been reasonable about it.

whatever punitive measures imposed should have been proportional to whatever transgression was made by the offending state/entity.

a full scale invasion involving tens of thousands of troops, hundreds of billions of dollars, the undermining of the UN, the deaths of thousands of soldiers and tens of thousands of civilians (closer to a hundred thousand, really) WAS NOT reasonable, and was severely disproportionate to whatever slight the US (not the UN, the US...which brings up some juristinctional implications) saw.

and besides, lets not lose track of what the reasons for war were. dont give me this bullshit about weapons inspections, thats not really what it was about. it was about imminent threat, which was something that Iraq certainly was NOT, and is CERTAINLY not moot.

shorthand:
iraq being assholes about weapons inspections->
optionally increase sanctions
optionally assassinate saddam and his buddies

iraq being an imminent threat->
optionally assassinate saddam
authorise whatever incursion to go in and destroy said weapons
last resort - invade, with UN support. which they would give you, if you actually had evidence.

you see? logical. proportionate. graded. cheap.

...or are you one of those guys that will beat your wife to death with a beer can for burning your steak?

and besides, lets not lose track of what the reasons for war were. dont give me this bullshit about weapons inspections, thats not really what it was about. it was about imminent threat, which was something that Iraq certainly was NOT, and is CERTAINLY not moot.

Uh, I thought it was about WMD?

shorthand:
iraq being assholes about weapons inspections->
optionally increase sanctions
optionally assassinate saddam and his buddies

iraq being an imminent threat->
optionally assassinate saddam
authorise whatever incursion to go in and destroy said weapons
last resort - invade, with UN support. which they would give you, if you actually had evidence.

So, you support the illegal action of assassinations? I personally dont have a problem with it, and in fact would have preferred it to this war. Maybe then the entire left side of my upper body might function normally.

Technically, according to UN resolutions, military action was sanctioned by the UN. If you wanna dig even deeper, the US has technically been in a state of war with Iraq 90 days after the end of the first Gulf War, when they refused to comply with conditions of our cease-fire agreement including UN inspectors being allowed to personally witness the destruction of all banned weapons and weapon technology.

do i support assassinating the leader of a country in preference to supporting the assassination of the same leader, his sons, his cabinet, his guard, his army, his police force, and a hundred thousand innocent bystanders, including about sixty thousand women and children?

yes. yes i do.

NB

That's a thin line to walk. While I don't believe all the facts are presented in this article, I don't like the way it looks.

The last part of that article said...

But Miller added: “Enemy combatants — in this case, insurgents — who don’t pose a threat would not be considered a hostile.”

If we would have just slap their hand and let them go, they would have rejoined their group and become hostile again. Enemy combatants should be considered dangerous regardless if they have a weapon or not.

While sad that this has happened, there are probably many more stories of thinking wounded insurgents as not hostile have tricked their captors and inflicted harm but I have no proof and it's just an assumption by me.

Bush’s Crumbling Coalition: WashingtonDC Would Be Third Largest Coalition Partner
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
RHETORIC: George W. Bush has built a strong multinational coalition for the war in Iraq.
CHENEY: “You made the comment that the Gulf War coalition in '91 was far stronger than this. No. We had 34 countries then; we've got 30 today. We've got troops beside us.” [Dick Cheney, Vice-Presidential Debate, 9/30/04]
BUSH: “Our coalition is strong. It will remain strong, so long as I'm the president.” [George W. Bush, First Presidential Debate, 9/30/04]

REALITY: The coalition is crumbling. Since February, 8 countries have pulled all of their forces out of Iraq. A 9th country has withdrawn 80% of its forces. And a 10th country – which provided neither troops nor aid to Iraq – had to ask to be removed as a coalition partner from the White House Web site. And now, key coalition allies – including the United Kingdom, Italy, Poland, and Ukraine – are actively talking about drawing down their force levels. George Bush’s inept diplomacy has resulted in an already weak coalition getting even weaker.

Washington Has More Troops in Iraq Than Even Largest Coalition Partners. If Washington were a country, it would be the third largest coalition partner – in terms of troop commitments – behind only the United States and Great Britain. [http://www.dod.mil/news/Sep2004/d20040922.pdf; AP, 8/13/04.]

Bush Losing Coalition Members In Iraq. Since the beginning of the war, nine countries have withdrawn troops from the coalition in Iraq: Thailand, Norway, Dominican Republic, Honduras, Nicaragua, Philippines, Singapore, Spain, and New Zealand. The total number of forces withdrawn from these countries numbers nearly 2,800. [AP, 8/13/04]
Costa Rica Had to Tell U.S. To Remove it From the Coalition. Costa Rica told the U.S. government that it wants to be excluded from the list of nations that support the war in Iraq. The country provided neither troops nor aid to the effort in Iraq. Despite this, the country had been listed as a coalition member on the White House website. [Reuters, 9/9/04]
Many of the Troops on the Ground are not Available for Combat. These include 32 Estonian cargo handlers, 12 Moldovan mine-sweepers, 10 remaining Norwegians that stayed on to do police training after Norway withdrew their 140 troops, and Japanese soldiers whose mandate restricts them to “non-combat zones” for an exclusively humanitarian mission, which means they can’t help our troops shoulder the burden of fighting the insurgency. [BBC, 7/20/04; Copley News Service, 7/28/04; Knight-Ridder, 7/25/04]
Most Coalition Contributions Are Small. During the [first] gulf war, 8 countries deployed more than 10,000 troops. Today, no country other than the United States has more than 10,000 troops in Iraq. Only the United Kingdom has more than 3,500 troops in Iraq and more than half the coalition has contributed fewer than 200 troops. [Newsweek, 10/11/04]
The U.S. Bears 90% of Casualties: There have been at 1,205 coalition casualties since the beginning of the war, including at least 1,066 American casualties. American troops have borne 90 percent of the total number of fatalities. [CNN, Special Reports, 10/05/04]

Thailand: 423 troops leaving early on Aug. 31 instead of Sept. 20; 20 withdrawn on Aug. 10.

Lots of good pics here. Yes, war is not glorious. It's a terrible, terrible thing.

Those pics of the dead, the wounded, terrified hostages - I don't want that. That's EXACTLY why I love seeing those guys doing what they are doing in in that video.

....ever wondered why there is so much international condemnation?

Yes I wondered about that until it was revealed the nations condemning them were making huge progits from the oil for food programs and then I stopped wondering and realized we are now the enemy because we upset their apple cart.

i'm just a normal man
i wouldn't hurt nothing at all
but here we are

our leaders have a plan
i'd only kill if it's for them
now here we are

i drove in a car and flew in a plane
to come to your house and kick your door in
now it's down to this, it's just you and me
i'll blow your fucking head off for my country

i go to church and tithe
i go to work in a suit and tie
but this is war
i'm really not sure why
but the tv says that you are wrong
now here we are

my feet hurt from the sand
but still i march on gun in hand
cause this is war
this isn't what i planned
i wanted to be so much more
but this is war
