Mother In-Law Visit

She comes all the way from North Bay, Ontario, so when she visits, she stays for a while. This time it is for 4 weeks. She's a nice lady, but she gets a little old after a while. I'll be good as long as I can, but I already told my wife that a lot of my evenings will be spent in Sports Bars.

It started already on her first day. On my days off, after my morning workout I listen to Imus then Laura Ingram on the radio while having oatmeal , boiled eggs and coffee and reading the Washington Times.

She woke up early (I didn't expect it, she flew in late last night) to join me. First thing out of her mouth after making it up the stairs: "Eeew, eggs!". It went downhill from there. She is hopelessly liberal too.

Yes I've been to North Bay many times, nice town. She is very happy with the results of the Canadian election. Not just that the Liberals won, but that the NDP has enuff power to demand input.

Funny part is she has my back usually when me and Mrs Y disagree...
And she can cook Penn Dutch food that makes you think you are in heaven.

As a live-in it probably would be better. She cooks well, cleans and helps a lot with the kids.

Visiting is different I think. We kind of treat her like a guest. My wife gets all giddy seeing her mom and stuff.

Day Two: My wife was nice enough to make a bowl of oatmeal for me this morning. After a long night shift, I was looking forward to it. Only problem: "we're out of raisins sweetheart"

Mom-in-law: "oops,sorry, I ate the last of them"

No big deal right? I needed to grocery shopping anyway. Until she says: "Oh, are you one of those kind of people who has to have raisins in your oatmeal? Aren't you picky, etc. I eat mine with no raisins, no sugar, etc, just plain, it's better for you, blah, blah..."

So she ate the last of my raisins right out of the container, but she's "too healthy" to add raisins to her oatmeal.

I might be spending quite a few nights at a sports bar this month.

I feel for you mang. I had big problems with my ma in law, and that was part of the reason for my divorce. Our big thing was issuses with the kids. I had certain rules for the girls, and "nana" felt like those didnt apply to her. God I hated that lady.

I bought a house RIGHT NEXT DOOR to my mother in law. We`re freaking neighbors.

I`m not complaining but she comes into our house daily and multiple times a day without knocking. She just opens the front door and walks in. If it`s locked, she starts opening it up with the key we gave her FOR EMERGENCEY purposes. So by the time I get to the door and unluck it, she`s already has the key in there and twisting it. lol Still she`s an awesome lady. I made the choice.

lol nah I`d prolly never get it up again after she walks in on me. Last week we actually had the intercom to the front door "ON" so we would hear if someone walked to the door while we had sex. What a world I live in. lol
