i heard they shot down the pennsylvania plane. maybe why you barely see it on the news.

Several people (govt. officials of some kind) have said that is not true.

studjc - you make an excellent point, but reports(I know they are only speculation but..) from cell phone calls said passengers witnessed terrorists kill flight attendants and pilots. Now, if I saw that shit going down, I guarantee you that I would do something. No, I'm not superman or anything, but terrorists wanting money and shit would not kill these people midflight. They would at least wait to see if their demands are met.
Just picturing myself on those planes give me the chills.

I heard that they were at the back of the plane killing stewardess and basically what happened is that the pilots put the plane on autopilot and went to the back to help
They killed the pilots and got into the cockpit
Im guessing they would have to be at least half a dozen of them armed with knives to totally control the whole plane

And the one that crashed was foiled by 3 male passengers who managed to get in the cockpit and got in a struggle with the hijackers and eventually crashed the plane to prevent it from reaching its destination
One of the guy called his wife about it and told her that all of them will die so them 3 might as well do something bout it.
Heroic indeed. I pray for the victims and their family.

On CNN a little while ago they showed a woman who was phoned by her son from one of hte planes. He told his mother they were highjacked and told his mother that the highjackers said they had bombs.

This might explain why no passenger would try and get involved with the terrorists.

The two WTC crashes were clearly cases where terrorists had full control of the plane and flew them into the buildings themselves. Their flight patterns were obviously well thought out and executed. The plane that hit the pentagon is what I haven't been able to figure out yet. Perhaps it was a pilot held at knifepoint or whatever, because that pkane originally was approaching the capitol building in washington (as reported by congressmen) and suddenly diverted, so possibly a pilot pulled up at the last minute and ultimately ended up hitting the pentagon. The 4th plane appears to be a situation where struggle amongst passengers and crew members took place. It appears the plane when down while passengers were trying to intervine.
