More carbs in cooked oatmeal than dry?

I just read somewhere that cooking oatmeal makes it have more carbs. This makes no sense to me. How does adding water and heating it in the microwave add carbs?

NO

and stop reading muscle & fiction

It's indeed nuts ;)

If you compare, let's say, 100ml of cooked oats and 100ml of dry oats, then yes, the dry oats will have more carbs.
It's no magic, it's simply that cooking them will make the proportion bigger.
Appart from that, I see no difference.. ;)

Ohh duhh....It's just cuz "1/2 dry" is actually less oats than "1/2 cooked" because when you add water and cook it expands. Nevermind....

LOL, reminds me of a guy that thoght whipped creme had more fat than the same ammunt of plain cream. Just because once it got wipped it tasted fatter. Never really convinced him that it was impossible, he just didnt get it =)
