more anecdotal notes on ala from happyscrappy

I was running 3g a day every day for over a month.
then I started adding in L-Arginine and L-Ornithine as well as gluatimine peptides at night.
that was when I started to see some pretty cool results - was sleeping very well and saw fat loss (nothing amazing, but still nice). also more vascular - likely due to higher NO levels.

I was tired ALL the time - as in "could easily faceplant into my keyboard at work" kind of tired.
the sleeping better at night was nice, but it still didn't solve the issue.

then more recently I was told I have an umbilical hernia and I've been backing off on my workouts until I get the final say from my surgeon and so I've also backed off on my supplementation.

I stopped all protein shakes, and all supplementation... things I noticed:

1) holy shit cut! I think this is likely due to the lack of shakes - I still took in protein in my diet, just not from powder, all from beef, tuna, beans, and tofu (which is technically also beans).

2) wide awake at work and more alert - and slept even better.

3) less gassy - the protein is likely again at play - but the nightime NO combo also seemed to really get it going since it increases peristolis (not sure I spelled that right). don't get me wrong - still gassy... thank goodness... just less so.


what does all this mean?
no clue - just thought I'd share.
 
I'm doing pretty much what you described above just throw in DL-Phenylalanine in the AM and L-Tyrosine in the PM.

I sleep like a baby, thank the good lord for depends.

hmmm - good point :)
at my high point of shakes - I was doing one in the morning, one before working out, one after working out, and one before bed (that was while on "stuff")

so when I backed off to just a shake after workouts and that was it, that to me was like doing none at all.

I'm slowly building up to one in the morning and one after workouts and already seeing more bloat.

I also take in liquidex and clomid - although I only have like 2 - 4 more days of the clomid.

can you tell me more about L-Phenylalanine, that one I am unfamiliar with? isn't that the one that was in PPA, a nor-epeinephrine sort of thing (stimulant), or am I just high on crack again?
I had thought I might start adding in L-Tyrosine and GABA at night as well, but I was letting my bank account rest for a bit first and also waiting on word from the surgeon (I had these paranoid thoughts that the shit I was taking caused my stomach and organs to bloat, tearing my abs and causing my hernia - and the dancing midgets were just scary).

are you still taking in tryptophan?

see I'm thinking about cutting out shakes for a month to see what happens. The time saving that shakes provide is pretty tough to beat though.
 
happy, im not really up on all this shit, but is this to achieve a ketosis state or a hypo state? or niether?

sadly, in all honesty, it is more likely that it is really that since I'm not on gear, I need to keep shoving something down my throat to ease my mind that I might be missing out on some sort of "extra" oomf

the ala is to increase the nutrition partitioning effects when insulin is released - so less glucose is stored as fat in the end... so they say.
the other ones are to improve recovery and increase HGH release (in theory).

well, doesnt sound like its for me, ive been hypo forever. i dont store fat. is there something that will help me store fat?
 
you want to store fat?

hmmm - I'd recommend eating a strict diet of low glycemic carbs and lard.
say - 4 cups sugar mixed in with a pound of butter.
eat this 6 times a day with your regular meals - ESPECIALLY right before bed.

i guess i could stomach the lard but i thought 4cups of suger would peg out the glycemic meter, but i do like butter, only as a lubricate though.
 
oh yeah - I'm retarded - high glycemic.

sorry, so used to telling people to take in low glycemic sugars that... I was just checking the end line specs on the rotary girder... I'm retarded.... oh wait, we aren't supposed to use that word...
fuck.


on a side note - the l-arginine, l-etcetc gluatmine and all that tastes like ass.
but if you mix it all into OJ, then it tastes better - but it has a very disgusting consistency.

also I think I was doing 5grams too many of the glutamine peptides - not sure what that results in.
 
oh well, im just gonna stick to my ten weeks of fina/test tapered with some primo and therapy.

have I mentioned my love of DOT? that dude cracks me up - mainly 'cause he says what goes on in my head - and in my pants.

and sponge - I'm vaguely jealous, although primo makes my hair fall out and is $$$.
 
did you say hair fall out? uhm.... damn now im not so excited. i need all my hair, if any more leaves i wont even be able to perform the four strand combover. i notice i lose more post cycle. this is my first try of primo, i'll see. mail order price is great.
 
well, test and fina increase hair growth... body hair.
and for me (not everyone experiences this), primo and winny make my hair (on my head) fall out more than usual.
I don't get hair loss on test nor fina, but I do on those two.
there are others that don't lose any on those but do on test and fina...
who knows... not me.
also likely dosage based as well - increased doses always increase sides - both pos and neg.
