Hi Gents -
I thought that I'd come to this forum as apparently finasteride was previously used to mask steroids so figured there may be some guys who know a bit about it....
Anyway - as per the title I'm getting moobs from finasteride - but first let me give you a little background.
All throughout my life I've had very high testosterone levels... which has led to two things... 1. Gyno (psuedo and even some tissue) and 2. hairloss.
One good thing about it has been that I've never had to take anything to get big in the gym, the problem has always been the excess converts to estrogen, so losing the gut etc has always been tough and my estrogen levels have also always been high.
I have tried some aromatase inhibitors before with some success when not using finasteride but not whilst using it.
Tried finasteride for hairloss obviously...
Finesteride is an antiandrogen which acts by inhibiting type II 5-alpha reductase, the enzyme that converts testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT). So sides can be moobs, loss of sex drive etc for the unlucky like me...
The problem being that whilst you're reducing the conversion of testosterone to DHT your body tries to balance you out by producing more testosterone (which then leads to the moobs etc when some of it converts to estrogen)
So..... how do I fix this?
I've tried DIM, grape seed extract, AIFM, Yohimburn ES, aerobic exercise etc (prefer weights but hit the treadmill).... but can't drop the puffy nipples or keep a decent sex drive. I also tried rebound reloaded with a good ramp up and ramp down cycle but after my ramp down gyno attacked me even more.
I was going to try armidex but that again raises testosterone which is probably what I don't want.....
I'm concerned about letrozole as I don't want a estrogen spike afterwards from it....
So Aromasin?
any advice? thoughts
