Anyone know of any cheap places to stay in montreal? Me and a couple of my buddies are goin up there for the weekend, and I guess there's some festival or some shit going on which we didn't know about. So I'm hearing hotels are booked and they're all expensive.

So anyone know of a cheap hotel up there? And anyone know anything going on this weekend up there, or any cool bars/clubs to check out? I've only been up there once (last new year's), we're just lookin to get fucked up and have a good time.

Any montreal info is welcome...and person with the best reply gets all my karma for the day.

I was just there to visit a friend last weekend. On Sundays there's a fun get-together in the downtown area on that hill near the huge cross. Everyone just gets baked and enjoys the nice weather. Other than that, I was too high to remember much.

this is a cheap hostel. i haven't stayed there, but friends of mine said it was good.

Fuck the hostel....stay in one of the Mcgill residences, they are about 35 bucks a night and are right downtown. Try for Solinel (sp?) hall....we did it last year for the just for laughs festival
