Money? Power? Or Respect? Pick One!

respect, its the only thing I really value in life anymore, and in my circle of friends its the most important thing, between myself and my best friend its a unspoken bond that you couldnt break with a jackhammer and people notice that

If I had to choose only one of those it would be Respect.

Because if you care what the person thats "Respecting" thinks (about you) it might be the only one out of those choices that would mean something.

you could be wealthy as hell, yet being dying from a debilatating disease
I'd select power through which you could get the other two

money. i couldnt care less about the other two, money would allow me to travel the world meeting my efriends from a summer base on a greek island, and a winter base in australia (where it owuld be summer) :)

sounds like a plan

depends on how "power" is defined

money is power. Respect is a result of how you choose to use the other two.
I disagree that's why I posited the situation in which you could be wealthy, yet dying
having power I assume you're still in the game

Power is control over people, you could be dying and still have control.

True respect can not be purchased, it is something that must be earned. You gain respect in the same way that you lose it.The other 2 u can get without really earning!
I guess u know which is the most important to me.
It is sorta like buying k, I would rather earn it.If you buy k, are u buying power ? Power can be bought. :rose:

LMAO at you wanting to be rich so you can meet all your "e"-friends!!!!!!

:nerd:

If I could choose one and NOT HAVE the other two, ever... then I'd choose respect. I tend to get a lot of respect from the people around me and would'nt want it any other way.

It's really hard not to choose the money, but what would you really have if you did'nt have the respect? You'd be alone or alienated. On the other hand, if I had little money, I could still live a fullfilled life. I need to be treated with respect.

Lock this thread please.

Power cannot be bought though. If you could, and had the financial ability to do so, then that would also be considered power, no?

Power and money kind of go hand in hand don't they? :)

true
but given a choice between an assumption of power or money
I'd select power as the choice least likely to lead you to believe I'm bed-ridden

not to mention,if you
"have control over people"
what do you need money for?

They are all interrelated, but it starts primarily with money. Unfortunately.

You've never heard of power or respect being the root of all evil, have you?

That's the thing though...very rarely will you find people with great power who dont have deep pockets. Just the way i see it is, to have money is to have power. Respect is a product of how you use and attained the two.

Very true, most people are superficial and don't have any true friends, nor do they deserve any. It is more important to be respected than to be popular or liked by everyone. People with "lots of good friends" are usually the ones who will find themselves alone when things go bad or their money runs out. Sad thing is, they don't even know it.

Power. Money isn't too important to me, and respect can be earned. To be all-powerful would mean to be as a god, if even for a moment. I'd want that chance once in my life.
