money on rent

I present you carbon based troglodites with an issue of upmost importance which has been surgically gnawing at Nordstrom's intellectual palate.



I want to save money on rent. What all options do i have to do that. These are all i can come up with right now.

1. Get a roommate or two. (con: i am a private person, and wonder if there is some other way to share an appt. w/o having to agknowledge the other person's existence)
2. Get a studio apartment

name as many options as you can. I figure i don't need an entire apartment, and splitting the cost of electricity, water, internet connection, satellite tv & rent would save me alot of $.
The thing is, i can get by fine in a tiny place. 200 sq. feet is ok with me.

I heard spatterson mention team housing, what exactly is this for anyone who knows?
