Mom passed away last week.

Actually a few days ago my moms passed away.
I had to go out of town to handle her affairs and deal with my pops.
his world revolved around her.

She had 7 kids and left me everything which was not much but I was very touched by her gesture as I am kid #7.

Not easy packing up all her stuff.

glad I spoke to her a few days before and glad my kids spoke to her a couple days after I did.

She thought I was a great son and I feel that I was a good son so I'm OK with everything but my brothers and sisters who had not talked to her in a while feel fucked up.

So I just want to say, be the best son/daughter you can be.

she was 81 and had a hard life, I'm glad she is up there with her favorite sister and I'm glad she did not suffer.

god bless.

Gosh, I'm very sorry to hear that. I know how much it hurts to lose your mother. I will say a little prayer.

You have my condolences heavy duty.

Sorry for your loss, but happy to hear that you and your children got the chance to speak with her before she left this world.

Children are an amazing gift and based on what you wrote I am certain that you most likely affected her more than she did you...

Think about what a blessing you were (and are) to your parents both. :)

Very sorry to hear man. I'm the last kid in a family of seven too, and I lost my mom when I was 22. My condolences :(.

My condolences bro - I'm glad you got to speak with her before she passed. You hit the nail on the head w/bein the best son/daughter you can be. I lost my Mother when I was 21 and you definitely learn to appreciate all the family you have left and not take anything for granted. I know some people have their differences with their parents but life is too short to hold any grudges or bad feelings - especially to the people that brought you in.

That's rough. I've been there, twice. How's your dad holding up?

i'm sorry too. i know how hard it is to lose a parent.

can't thank you guys enough for all the kind words.
Dad is OK for now but once my sister comes back to Toronto he'll have a tough few weeks I bet. (he's 84 this year and due for a new hip end of summer)

Sorry for your loss. That's a day we all dread. I can't even imagine the sorrow I will feel when that day arrives.

wow that is a hard thing to go through...At least you both knew how much you loved each other and that is a huge thing....no regrets will set you free....((((HUGS))))

Wow. That was some deep stuff to read.
Thank you for sharing that with us.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

condolences, from Me, my SO and our son. I lost my Mom in 82', cancer. Unfortunately, I didn't have my shit together then, lots of things I wish were different. Be strong for your Dad, he'll have plenty of support in the beginging, but as my Dad often said, after a few weeks people go back to thier lives and that was when the worst of it started. He would tell you to be aware of that and try to keep in touch in a few weeks and talk often as you can.
so sorry,
Tx

HD was this kinda expected? you seem to be rather calm about the matter
