Since that thread got locked, here is the continuation.

Velvette, I don't need drugs. I am angered and deserve to be heard. You aren't listening to what I am saying. You stated that one of Warik's faults is because he acts like a regular member.

I don't see acting like a non-mod as being a fault. That insulted me and should've insulted Warik.

1. - I never said you have to be different. I said being a member and mod are different - being a mod mean people will automatic think you are on a high horse, that you think you are better than everyone else. Well? Is that not what you always say? (If I weren't a Mod I wouldn't have to listen you twist my words into something they are not.)

Being a mod and being a member are no different, in my opinion, except for one thing, they get to control threads. Now, you were picked for this because George felt that you have a good head on your shoulders but in my opinion, that got to you. You and Ryan have closed threads that YOU and HIM personally don't want to be discussed. That's not a moderator's job. We are having a discussion (us board members) and if you don't like it, tough!

That doesn't give you the right to close it.

THAT IS MY ARGUEMENT HERE. If I want to discuss May1010, and you are tired of seeing it, (or Ryan for that matter) simply scroll over that thread and don't read it. Now, if people are talking trash about ryan like calling him vulgar names, that's something entirely different. At this point, you warn the member and take the necessary disciplinary actions. You don't just close the whole thread. That, my friend, is censorship.

4. - I never told you to leave...when did I tell you to leave? I never said I was special - when did I say that?

You said that if I don't like your actions, then I can leave. That, to me is bullshit. If I don't like what you locking threads, that doesn't mean I should leave...that means I should fight it if I feel i'm right. Tha'ts the American way. The key to remember about the problem here is, Ryan deletes and locks threads that DO NOT violate the TOS, period.

I've posted 13 requests asking him to give the members here some insight into what criteria he uses to judge threads by. Each one has been deleted.

A casual observer to this board can clearly see that life on the chat board is pretty fun when ryan isn't online, but when he is online threads and topics are at the mercy of his fickle, arbitrary criteria for deletion.

you know I think that members who were concerned about this issue, made there point.

Th mods as well have shared there points of view with us, and the constraints they have to deal with.

It sounds like mods like velvett have to keep a barrier and maintain a certain decorum while conducting themselves here, and overseeing the affairs of the board....this completely understandable.

I think the members who were interested in this subject did a good job at drawing out some truth concering the issue.esp...68GT

and I think the mods did good too, by sharing with us.

This is a great board, and yes we all have lives out side this board,

but when people like us are concerned about this issue.it should not be trivialized.....
