Moderators and the platinum membership

George has stated that moderators do not have to pay for the features included with the platinum membership. That is complete bullshit to me. There have been a couple of mods who said they would pay eventhough they are exempt for the charge and props go to Flexed1 and Guards for that decision.

We have had many mods flame members for not supporting this site. You may say that some mods do not use those boards, but that is simply not the point. The most important point being made is that ELITEFITNESS needs the support.

Funny how some of you can run your mouths when you do not have to pay. All talk, no action. I wonder what you would say if you were just a regular member like the rest of us. So are you going to SUPPORT ELITEFITNESS or are you going be a fucking hypocrite and abuse your so called power.

And before you say anything, I already have a platinum membership.

I think the fact that their jobs are a non-paying one are enormous support!! You have to keep in mind that they do this for free so getting a $12 a month membership in return ain't shit. That as George so graciously puts it is only .39 a day for their work. Think about it!

I have to partially agree with BO.

There are mods on here who don't do jack shit and fankly, don't deserve their positions. They happened to win popularity contests through whatever means. Star referred to it as their "job"...well, only a percentage actually do any sort of job by daily moderating while others act as regular members with benefits and the rest flame members, edit/delete legitimate posts or lock threads for no good reason.

Just because you have the title of Moderator does not implicitly mean you're any better than any other member or deserve preferential treatment (e.g. free Platinum Membership).

Again, this does not apply to ALL mods, but definately some.

Where are the threads where Star shows signs of a brown nose? That was uncalled for. First off, I happen to agree with her.. and if you read my posts you know I am not a brown noser at all. I am friends with 3 mods... all of which do a job for this site. I like to think of Star as a friend, so please refrain from name calling unless she starts it.

I believe most of the MOD's here do a great job. There are of course a few waster's but we know who they are and their not likely to throw up any surprises. My list of mods who I'll always turn to for help in are;
Ranger, Big Buck, MattTheskywalker, FLex1, Organon, RyanH, B'mom, there's probably one or two more but I can't remember them at the moment. And I'd be surprised if that small list did'nt was'nt in agreement with 99% of user's here.
The above named MOD's are here doing the moderators job almost everytime I log on, and thats everyday. So I agree that their platinum membership should be waived.

DOT I don't use the picture's board either. But I enjoy posting family type pix here, plus photos from my army life. And I'm a regular contributor to the counterfeit pictures board, so I contribute alot to the boards. I absolutely love elitefitness and I believe $12 per month is well worth it.
There's alot of discussion here about the platinum membership, good and bad, but overall I thinks if I was running the board. And considering the (even now) information that can be gained from the anabolic board alone, I feel I'd be justified in charging a nominal fee for the boards which at present are free !.
There's noway we'd find the information in the anabolic board alone in any publication on the market since the beginning of our sport.
I could live without posting my regular photos on both boards, but I realise the board simply cannot go on without all our support.

I to am paying for anothers members membership and have done so today. certain folks ( this one in general) offer much to this board. i know i help many folks and i also know the elite mods help even more. it takes time to answer questions so personally its fair to me. now if you don't think every mod offers value thats your choice. however you can't walk in someone elses shoes so maybe thye offer value to someone else?

Good points, but I still disagree.

Your main point seemed to be the time consumption for answering questions and offering value. There are many regular members who also answer these same questions, yet they still have to pay. That just seems unfair to me.
