mmmmmmmm, antifreeze tastes good

got my first taste of it today. it's pretty sweet, just like i've heard it is. i now know why animals will drink it until they die.

is there anything that tastes just like it but isn't quite as harmful? i want to save drinking the real stuff for special occasions

it wasn't intentional. i had to replace the thermostat and upper radiator hose in my car last week. there's 1" of clearance between the hose and the alternator, and apparently if you don't twist the hose a little bit where it goes onto the radiator, it'll bounce back and forth from the fan shroud to the alternator.

so i'm driving home today and my temperature gauges skyrockets. i pull over as soon as i could and pull the hood release. as i'm going to open the hood, all i can smell is antifreeze. i pop the hood and i see my engine coated in it. car was still running, so i'm looking around trying to see where it's coming from. a big drop flew up at me and landed on my lip. i ended up getting a taste of it. tasted pretty good.

$14 down the shitter. got a new hose. should be fine now.

still want to find a drink that tastes like antifreeze though.
